Orrin married Harriet Burkey on March 16, 1946 at the West Moe Parsonage. After their marriage they farmed in the Miltona area and later moved to Urness Township where they lived and farmed until 1977 when Orrin retired from farming. Mr. Larson was a member of Solem Lutheran Church for the past twenty five years and a member of the American Legion.
Orrin died at his home on Wednesday, January 8, 1986. He is survived by his wife Harriet, three sons: Delmer Larson of Fergus Falls, Minnesota; Willis Larson of Waite Park, Minnesota; Emery Larson of Lowry, Minnesota; two daughters, Mrs. Steven (Rose Ann) Hartjen of Sierra Vista, Arizona; Mrs. Randy (Vera) Carlson of Rothsay, Minnesota; ten grandchildren; two sisters: Mrs. Ole (Rosella) Rosby of Farwell, Mrs. Vernon (Mae) Pochardt of Kensington, Minnesota; two brothers: Michael Larson of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Kermit Larson of Brandon, Minnesota.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 11, 1986, 2:00 p.m. at Solem Lutheran Church with Rev. James Radatz officiating. Pallbearers were Einer Bakke, Arnold Enberg, Francis Goodwin, Ansel Christenson, Dale Burkey, Raymond Dvorsak, Herbert Johnson and William Blehr. Interment was at Solem Lutheran Cemetery, Kensington, Minnesota. Services were directed by Petermeier's Alexandria Funeral Home.

Funeral service was held on Monday, September 26, 1994, 10:30 a.m. at the Solem Lutheran Church in Kensington with Pastor James Radatz officiating. Pallbearers were James Rosby, Roger Rosby, Larry Kirkwold, David Larson, Emery Larson and Delmer Larson. Interment was at the Solem Lutheran Cemetery in Kensington. Services were directed by Petermeier's Alexandria Funeral Home.

Mae Agnes was born the youngest of six on July 9, 1925, at the family home in Kensington, MN, the daughter of Ole and Agnes (Mader) Larson. She was baptized on August 30, 1925 and confirmed on May 12, 1940 at Solem Lutheran Church in Kensington. Mae attended District 63 Country School in Kensington.

On May 9, 1943, she married, Clarence Rosby who passed away on February 20, 1960. To this union six children were born, Roger, James, Gloria, JoAnn, Janice and Judy.

On May 28, 1960, she married Vernon Pochardt in Glenwood and the couple were married for 48 years. To this union a daughter was born, Audrey. Vernon passed away on March 2, 2008.

Mae worked as a waitress at the Dew Drop in Hoffman, the kitchen at the Nursing home in Hoffman and the School in Barrett. She served as Sunday School Superintendent, worked with the Helpmate Club and was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Hoffman.

Mae was a very proud homemaker where keeping her home tidy was an act of love to her family. She enjoyed canning, cooking and baking, especially her famous, lefse, lutefisk, pies and homemade bread. She could sit down and visit with anyone even a total stranger and just talk for hours. Mae and Vern spent many wonderful years together, playing bingo and going on bus trips. She enjoyed word puzzles and crafting in her later years. Mae will be dearly missed but forever in our hearts.

She is survived by her seven children, Roger (Diane) Rosby of Coon Rapids, MN, James (Sylvia) Rosby of Blaine, MN, Gloria (Gary) McLaughlin of Broomfield, CO, JoAnn (Jerry) Erickson of Kensington, MN, Janice (Bill) Tietz of Kensington, MN, Judy (Jim) Dehne of Holloway, MN and Audrey (Rick) Spillman of Kensington, MN; 14 grandchildren, Stephanie, Shawn, Shane, Shana, Jason, Brandi, Corey, Justin, Jessica, Brandon, Joel, Brady, Michelle, Lindsay; 11 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren and 1 on the way, along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ole and Agnes; husbands, Clarence and Vernon; two sisters, Ruby and Rosella; three brothers, Michael, Orrin and Kermit; parents-in-law, Theodore (Josephine) Rosby and Bert (Louise) Pochardt.

Visitation: 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM Friday, with a 6:30 PM Prayer Service at Erickson-Smith Funeral Home, Hoffman
