Madge served as the clerk of the Town of Bear Creek for 13 years and was elected queen one year at St. Patrick's Day Celebration. She enjoyed oil painting and quilting for her family members. She took great pride in her flower gardens. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Loreto. Survivors include her husband of Spring Green; three children, Reginald Stoddard of Reedsburg, Lila "Dody" (George) Pouliot of Batesville, Arkansas, and Roland Stoddard of DeForest; 23 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-great grandchildren; a son-in-law William WAlsh of Plain; a daughter-in-law Ruth Stoddard of Spring Green; other relatives and friends. She was preeded in death by her parents, two daughters, Juanita "Bunny" Crary and Jeannine Walsh, a grandson Matthew Walsh, a son-in-law Keith Crary, a daughter-in-law Marge Stoddard and two brothers, Roland and Donald Weitzel. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Wednesday, March 13, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Loreto. Father Mike Resop officiated with burial in the church cemetery. Richardson-Stafford Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.
