Father Thomas Gorman will be the celebrant. Burial will be in Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgls. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Behrens Mortuary in Rapid City. He died Friday at Fort Meade Veterans Hospital. He was born July 31. 1918, at Pukwana to Joseph and Anna Nedved. Nedved homesteaded with his father near Marcus and attended school in Faith and Sturgls. After graduating from school he worked for his aunt and uncle at Camp Joy, the first motel in South Dakota. He managed the service station at the motel, and later worked in Rapid City before retiring in 1978. He volunteered and served in the Army during World War II and was a member of the VFW and DAV of Rapid City. Survivors include his wife, Louise Nedved, Rapid City; one son, Joseph Nedved, Spearfish; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Michael Diede Diede Family Reunion Held July 27 -- Michael and Caroline Diede descendants held their annual reunion July 27, at the VFW Post home in Scotland (South Dakota). A pot luck dinner was held at noon, with visiting and picture taking in the afternoon.
The oldest person in attendance was Helen Diede, 87 years young from Terre Haute, Ind. The youngest person was Logan Heinzmann, one month old from Canistota.
