Visitation will be held the same day from 10 a.m. until the time of the service with burial following in St. Patrick's Cemetery. John is survived by his mother, Maxine; brothers, Pat and Tim (Shirley) McCluskey, both of Plain; sisters, Helen (Tom) Massa of New Jersey and Maureen McCluskey (Jerry Springer) of Lodi; a niece, Jackie McCluskey (Troy Wallace); a nephew, Thomas McCluskey; a great niece, Kylee Wallace; and a very, very special friend and the love of his life, Shirley Nachreiner. He was preceded in death by his father, Tom; and two brothers, Thomas and Eugene. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. PATRICK'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, in Loreto Ridge, on Monday, Nov. 27, 2006, at 11 a.m. Father Larry Bowens will officiate with burial in the Our Lady of the Field's Cemetery, where military graveside rites will be conducted by the Plain American Legion Post No. 398. Death23 July 2020Patrick M. McCluskey died on 23 July 2020 at age 66 Patrick M. “Klink” McCluskey, age 66, of Plain, died peacefully on Thursday, July 23, 2020 following a brave battle with cancer. He was born on May 18, 1954 in Richland Center, the son of Thomas and Maxine (Scallon) McCluskey. He was a graduate of River Valley High School and he received his Associate’s degree from MATC. Pat worked at Pace Industries for over twenty years. He enjoyed deer hunting and fishing in his spare time.

Survivors include his three siblings: Helen McCluskey, of Mays Landing, New Jersey; Tim (Shirley) McCluskey, of Plain and Maureen (Jerry) Springer, of Portage; one niece; two nephews; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers: Eugene, John and little Tommy.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Loreto with Father Santus Ibe officiating. Interment will follow at Our Lady of The Fields Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the church. In order to maintain physical distancing, only 50 people at a time will be allowed in the church. Face masks will be highly recommended. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Carbone Cancer Center in Madison would be appreciated.

Death20 May 2017Elizabeth A. Kraemer died on 20 May 2017 at age 82 Liz A. Scallon, age 82, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, May 20, 2017, at her home. She was born Oct. 6, 1934, in Plain, Wis., the daughter of Alphonse and Mary (Frank) Kraemer. Liz was the fifth youngest of 15 children. After graduating from St. Luke's Catholic High School, Liz moved to Madison. On Feb. 9, 1957, she married Brian Scallon. Liz worked at Oscar Mayer in cost accounting for seven years before she and Brian started their family. She enjoyed raising her daughters, swimming, exercise, her flower garden, bunco, bingo, Mexican train dominoes, and her grandchildren.


Liz is survived by her daughters, Karen (Terry) Brennan, Marybeth (Jim Renda) Little, and Jill (Todd) Stockard; grandchildren, Cody Brennan, Megan Brennan, Kino Little, Cole Little, Claire Stockard, and Will Stockard; brothers, Norm (Louise) Kraemer and Bob (Betty) Kraemer; sisters, Marie Zajicek, Helen Taylor, Ann (Tom) Gerothanas, and Karol (Charlie) Wichmann.





Liz was preceded in death by her husband, Brian on July 21, 2014; her parents; brothers, Alfred (Helen Marie) Kraemer and Linus (Florence) Kraemer; sisters, Lorraine (Monroe) Haas, Florence (Bill) Schluter, and Irene (Bob) Esch; infant sisters, Bernice, Delores, and Grace Kraemer; brothers-in-law, Jim Zajicek and Dean Taylor; niece, Joni Schluter; and nephews, Mike Gerothanas and Dean Haas.


A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5101 Schofield St. at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 23, 2017, with Father Chad Droessler presiding. Burial will be take place Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Monday, May 22, 2017, and at church on Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
