Survivors include her sister: Mary Lins, of Richland Center; her sister-in-law: Betty Durst, of LaValle; her brother-in-law: Alois Bindl, of Spring Green; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Bernard and Hubert Durst; one sister: Marian Bindl; her brother-in-law: Bernard Lins and her sister-in-law: Rosemary Durst. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, November 23, 2015 at Holy Family Catholic Church in LaValle with Father Lorin Bowens officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary's Catholic Church at Keyesville. There will be a visitation from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service on Monday where a parish rosary will be prayed at 10:45 A.M. The Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg is serving the family.

Franklin Township in Sauk County. On July 31, 1956, Bernard married Mary Durst at St. Mary's Church at Keyesville. Bernard and Mary bought the farm on Apple Ridge Rd and were avid farmers, receiving the Outstanding Farmer award in 1961. He served as the Treasurer for the Ithaca Lions for ten years. The original Keyesville Parish Council was formed in the 1950s, and Bernard was elected and served for
many years in various capacities including President. For forty-two years he did maintenance work and other jobs for the parish. The family received the Strangers and Guests award from the Diocese of
LaCrosse. Bernard had a great love for his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Lins; his children Alan and Amy Lins, Mark and Ann Lins, Anne and Robert Roth; six grandchildren; his brother Robert Lins; sisters Rosemary (Bob) Pulvermacher, Cecile Speich, and Marilyn (Larry) Downey; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Rose Lins; brothers Tony, Herman, Louis and infant brother Edward; and sisters Lorrayne Falci and Marjorie Mellenberger.

Funeral services will be held at St. Mary's Church, Keyesville, on Saturday, December 6, 2014, at 11:00 AM. Burial will be held in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at the Clary Memorial Funeral Home on Friday, December 5, from 4:15 PM to 7:00 PM beginning with the Rosary at 4 p.m. Also, visitation will be held on Saturday at church from 9:45 AM until 10:45 AM where a rosary will begin at 10:45 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM.

On May 25, 1957, he was married to the former Betty Weist at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in Muscoda. Hubert was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving with the U.S. Army. He was a lifelong farmer in LaValle Township. Survivors include his wife of fifty-eight years: Betty; four children: Deborah (Ron) Schluter, of New Glarus; Hubert (Carla) Durst, of New Glarus; Dan (Sue) Durst, of Wonewoc and Mary (Mike) Butler, of McFarland; grandchildren: Jessica (Ryan), Kaitlin, Bethany, Lindsey, Laura, Dustin, Brandi, Jolee, Ryan, Kayla, Brady and Morgan; two sisters: Nora Durst, of LaValle and Mary Lins, of Richland Center; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother: Bernard Durst and one sister: Marian Bindl. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, August 21, 2015 at Holy Family Catholic Church in LaValle with Father Lorin Bowens officiating. Military rites will be provided by the LaValle American Legion following the mass. Interment will be at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Muscoda. There will be a visitation from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the mass on Friday at the church. The Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg is serving the family.
