She married Edward Ederer on November 22, 1932 at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Plain of which she was a member of her entire life. She attended 12 years of school at St. Luke's, followed by one year of Sauk Co. normal teachers college at Reedsburg. She taught at a local rural one room school, which included all 8 grades, and dearly loved teaching which she talked about often.

After her marriage she became a farm wife and worked side by side with her husband. Faith, family and friends were so important to her. She will be remembered for her excellent cooking, baking and ability to bring family and friends together at her table. She leaves us with the blessings of having had her love and prayers.

Celia is survived by three daughters: Irene (Ralph) Frank, Ione (Mel) Weiss, Ilene Bindl, one son Edward Jr. (Patricia) Ederer, eleven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, one sister-in-law Carrie Ederer, Sylvia Layton Laubmeir who made her home with them and loved as one of their own, as well as many other nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Edward, her parents Henry and Catherine Neuheisel, brothers Walter, Tony, Hubert and Leonard, sisters Mary Soeldner and Frieda Soeldner and two sons-in-law LaVern Ruhland and Ray Bindl.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Wednesday April 15, 2009, at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Plain at 12 noon. Father Mike Resop officiated. Burial was held at St. Luke's Catholic Cemetery.

A visitation was held on Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at St. Luke's Catholic Church from 10:30 A.M. until the time of the Mass at 12 noon.

Celia's family would like to express their appreciation for the loving and tender care given to her at Greenway Manor.

The Richardson - Stafford Funeral Home of Spring Green assisted the family with their arrangements.

She married Frank Haag February 3, 1938 and together they had five children. Along with Frank, Ray and Marie Liegel, they added a bar and bowling alley and opened the Plain Palace, where Van got her nickname “Queenie” and her reputation for hosting the best parties. She worked at the Sauk County Health Care Center for 17 years, and later worked at the Shell Station and Plain Pharmacy. She was very active in politics, worked every election, and eventually ran for Sauk County Clerk. Her interest in politics offered her the opportunity to meet Jackie and Jack Kennedy, and to have Robert Kennedy over to her home for tea. Van was a life long member of St. Luke’s Church and NCCW. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards with her friends and being a “Grandma Reader” at St. Luke’s. She always loved being around people and was surrounded by loving family when she passed. She is survived by children Bill Haag of Bloomer, Sylvia Jordan of Stoughton, Sally Haag (special friend Fred) of Madison, Cindy Haag of Plain, and Polly (Joe) Kraemer of Plain; Grandchildren Bill (Tina) Jordan, John (Marie) Jordan, Tim (Chris) Jordan, Eric, Kevin, and Heather McManamy, Courtney (David Houserman) and Jack Kraemer; eight great grandchildren; and special friend and caregiver Teresa Brey whom she loved very much. She is preceded in death by her parents William and Rose (Brechtl) Reuschlein, brothers Clarence and Herb, sisters Laura, Alice, and Marie, son-in-law Mike Jordan, and daughter-in-law Margaret Haag. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at 4:00 P.M. at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Plain, WI. Fr. Mike Resop will officiate with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 9th, 2016 at the church from 6:30 P.M. – 8:00 P.M., and again on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 from 3:00 P.M. until the time of Mass.The Richardson-Stafford Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Mr. Reischlein owns a fine improved farm of about 240 acres. He has been a continual resident of Wisconsin since 1848, hence witnessing its growth from a population of little more than 300,391 until the present time when it embraces a population of over 1,300,729.
