He was born on March 23, 1920, in Platteville, the son of Bernard and Margaret (Siepker) Stelpflug. Harold enlisted in the United States Army in December of 1941 and served his country until November of 1945 stationed in England. Upon return from service, he was engaged in a lifetime of farming. Harold met Marie Bornhauser and they were married on September 12, 1953, at Sacred Heart Church in Dubuque, Iowa. They were blessed with nine children. Harold was a lifetime member of the Richard Burns American Legion Post No. 109 of Lancaster and St. Clement Catholic Church.

Survivors include his loving wife, Marie Stelpflug, Lancaster; their nine children: Jim (Jane) Stelpflug, Lancaster; Bill (Ellen) Stelpflug, Bloomington; Cindi (Joe) Breuer, Glen Haven; Janet Seng, Cassville; Mike (Sheila) Stelpflug, Bloomington; Joan (Chris) Keenan, Dodgeville; Sharon (Bill) Bahl, Lancaster; Greg (Cathy) Stelpflug, Dodgeville; Christine (friend Steve) Stelpflug, Caledonia, MN; twenty-seven grandchildren: Aaron (Amy), Cathy, Maura, Kyle, Philip, Kim, Andrew, Kari, Jodi (JJ) White, Stephen, Jeanna, Kevin, David, Samantha, Marissa, Lauren, Jake, John, Adam, Angela, Kristin, Randy, Julie, Matt, Justin, Blake, and Jessica; step-grandchild, Billie Joe (Geri)Welchert; great-grandchild, Autumn; and step great-grandchild: Devin; two brothers: Leo (Betty) Stelpflug; Robert (Joanne) Stelpflug; sisters-in-law, Eileen Stelpflug, all of Lancaster; Mary Ellen Stelpflug, Menomonee Falls; Luetta Bornhauser, Dubuque, IA; brothers-in-law, Edgar (Eve) Bornhauser, Minnesota; Gene Johnsen, Arizona.

In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by granddaughter, Katelyn Keenan; a grandson, Lucas Morrow; his brothers: Cyril and Cletus; and a sister, Jeannette Johnsen.

Funeral services were held on Friday, June 29, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church in Lancaster with Father William Seipp officiating. Burial with military honors was held in St. Clement Cemetery, Lancaster. Family and friends called on Thursday, June 28, 2012, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the church and on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church. Schwartz Funeral Home in Lancaster is assisting the family.

Cletus was born March 30, 1922, in Platteville, the son of Ben and Margaret (Siepker) Stelpflug. He attended grade school in Tennyson and one year of high school. He stayed and farmed with his parents for a few months and then worked for his Uncle Leo Zenz for a couple of years. During this time, he also went out west to work in the thrashing runs. He also worked in Northern North Dakota picking up potatoes. Cletus was united in marriage to Eileen Muench on November 4, 1947, at St. Clement Catholic Church in Lancaster. They farmed near Platteville and Tennyson for a few years. They moved to Little Grant Township in 1949. Seven years later, they bought a farm in Hurricane, Wis., where they lived until 1974, when they retired and moved to Lancaster. In 1977, Cletus and Eileen bought a cabin at Jay's Landing in Bagley, Wis. They enjoyed many years of fishing on the Mississippi and spending time at their cabin. Cletus also enjoyed hunting deer, turkey, and many, many squirrels. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Eileen Stelpflug, Lancaster; two children, David (Shirley) Stelpflug, Preston and Diane (Ronald) VanNatta, Lancaster; five grandchildren, Vicki (Steve) Mueller, Greg (Jennifer) VanNatta, Michelle (Brian) Daniels, Allen (Wendy) Stelpflug and Brian (Sara) Stelpflug; six great-grandchildren; three brothers, Harold (Marie) Stelpflug and Leo (Betty) Stelpflug, both of Lancaster and Robert (Joanne) Stelpflug, Tennyson; four sisters-in-law, Mary Ellen Stelpflug, Menomonee Falls; Bernice and Helen Muench, both of Lancaster; and Madelyn Muench, Converce, Louisiana; a brother-in-law, Gene Johnson, Apache Junction, Arizona; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents; a brother, Cyril; a sister, Jeanette Johnson; five brothers-in-law, Leo, Donald, Gerald, and Carl Muench and Leroy Petersen; and a sister-in-law, Marcella Petersen. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. at ST. CLEMENT CATHOLIC CHURCH in Lancaster, with Father William Seipp officiating. Burial will be in St. Clement Cemetery, Lancaster. Friends may call on Tuesday, April 24, 2007, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at ST. He was born on May 8, 1930, the son of Bernard and Margaret (Siepker) Stelpflug. Bob attended St. Andrew Catholic School, graduating in 1948. Following graduation, he was employed in Dubuque for a few years. On September 17, 1955, Bob was united in marriage to Joanne Weis at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dubuque. After their marriage, they rented a farm near Lancaster before purchasing the family farm in Tennyson. Bob was a member of the Knights of Columbus and served on the Potosi School Board for several years. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and 4-wheeler rides in the woods.
Survivors include his loving wife, Joanne; three sons: Gary (Chris), Patrick (Karla) and Doug (Erin) Stelpflug; 13 grandchildren: Ben, Andrea, Danielle, Jeff, Dusty, Jackie, Derek, Tristan, Felicia, Lily, Noah, Kasey and Evey; 14 great-grandchildren; one brother, Leo (Betty) Stelpflug; a sister-in-law, Marie Stelpflug; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Bob was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie; a grandson, Joseph; his siblings: Cyril (Mary Ellen), Harold, Cletus (Eileen) Stelpflug, and Jeanette (Gene) Johnsen.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Tennyson with Father Richard Leffler officiating. Burial will be in St. Andrew Cemetery, Tennyson. Family and friends may call on Wednesday, August 12, 2020, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services all at the church.

Connie was employed at Lancaster State Bank, which later became M & I Bank in both Lancaster and then Mt. Hope. She later worked for Telco Community Credit Union, which became Heartland Credit Union. Connie also was employed at American Bank in Lancaster and was in the banking business for over twenty-five years. Connie loved spending time with family and friends, traveling and was an avid outdoorswoman; enjoying fishing, hunting, four-wheeling, snowmobiling, motorcycling and cutting wood. She enjoyed life, loved to smile, was very outgoing, fun-loving, and kind hearted. She had the personality one couldn't help but love.
Connie is survived by two children: Dustin Koeller, Lancaster; and Jacquelyn Koeller, Madison; her companion, Faron Yanna, Lancaster; her parents: Robert and Joanne Stelpflug, Lancaster; three brothers: Gary (Chris) Stelpflug, Lancaster; Patrick (Karla) Stelpflug, Potosi; and Doug (Erin) Stelpflug, Milwaukee; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at St. Clement Catholic Church in Lancaster with the Reverend William Seipp officiating. Burial will be in St. Andrew Cemetery, Tennyson.
Family and friends are welcome from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 5, 2007, at St. Clement Catholic Church, and from 9:30 until time of services Tuesday at the church. The Schwartz Funeral Home in Lancaster is assisting the family.
