The remains were at the Hoffman Mortuary in Dubuque, where visitation was after 7 o'clock, Tuesday night, January 22. The funeral was held to Sacred Heart Church in Dubuque at 9 o'clock, Thursday morning, January 24, where the Very Rev. J. Fred Kriebs officiated and delivered a sermon. Burial was in Mount Calvary in Dubuque, where the Rev. Wilfred Kress was in charge of services. Pallbearers were Leo Diener, Lyle Parker, Krieg Kile, Joseph Richter, William Beution, and Ray Reilly. Mr. and Mrs. Einar Hageman, of Chicago, and Greg Hageman, of Chicago, were present for the last rites. Mr. Richter was survived by two daughters, Mrs. Max (Angeline) Parker, of Dubuque, Ia., and Mrs. Einar (Martha) Hageman, of Chicago, Ill; three sons, Joseph J., of Dubuque, Ia., George, of Chicago, Ill., and Frank, of Bremerton, Wash; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Mrs. Anna Duve and Mrs. Mary Kelly, both of Potosi, Wis., Mrs. Dora Jacobs of Council Bluffs, Ia., and Mrs. Margaret Schmitz, of Beetown, Wis.

They farmed near Potosi for many years before retiring to Potosi. Kelly died several years ago. Mrs. Kelly has three daughters, Mrs. J.C. (Lillian) Reynolds, of Potosi, Mrs. W.R. Faherty, of Monroe, Wis., and Mrs. F.C. Burns, of Omaha, Neb. There are two sisters, Mrs. Anna Duve, of Potosi, and Mrs. Chris Schmitz, of Beetown, as well as six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. All are expected to be on hand to help Mrs. Kelly celebrate her birthday.

Mr. Kieler's health had been poor for about three years, but it was only in the last two months that his condition became serious.
He was survived by two sisters and four brothers, Mrs. Louisa Williams, of Grand Junction, Ia., Mrs. Dora Flanagan, of Jefferson, Ia., Thomas Kieler, of Jefferson, Ia., Frank, of Des Moines, Ia., George Kieler, of Dubuque, Ia., and Ben Kieler, of Grand Junction, Ia., as well as many nieces and nephews. His wife and son; parents; two brothers, Joseph and Frankie; and three sisters, Kate, Rosa, and Barbara, preceded him in death.

Kieler and Leo T. Kieler, both of Jefferson; two grandchildren, Thomas Kieler and Edmund Kieler of Sioux City; and other relatives and many friends.
