On Sept. 26, 1936, she married Carrol Harris in Winfield. They lived in Burden most of their married lives.
A homemaker, Harris was a member of the Burden Baptist Church and the Kansas Authors Club.
An infant son, Charles, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Carrol Harris, Burden; two daughters, Wanda Rigsby, Houston, and Jeanie Krug, Wichita; a son, Jim Harris, Winfield; a brother, Clyde; and three sisters, Betty and Marilyn, Wisconsin, and Isabel, New Mexico; nine grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Thelma also collected dolls and salt and pepper shakers. No matter how tired and sick she was, Thelma also made sure her family had plenty of peanut bars. Surviving include her husband, Edward of Dickeyville, Wisconsin; a daughter, Janel (Jerry) Maro of Dubuque, Iowa; three sons, Milt (Pam) Pfohl of Kieler, Wisconsin, Dennis (Mary) Pfohl of Belmont, Wisconsin, and Kevin (Tina) Pfohl of Roscoe, Illinois; eight grandchildren, Jesse, Jason, and Joshua Pfohl, Brian and Lindsey Maro, Tanya and Felicia Pfohl, and Madalyn Pfohl; and a brother, Burnell (Harriet) Deiter of Cuba City, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister-in-law, Theresa Deiter; and a nephew, Mark Deiter. The family would like to thank the staff on third floor Mercy and Father Steffen for the special care and kindnesses sown to Thelma and her family.
