Roger was born July 20, 1939 at Wagner, SD to Jesse C. and Lillian A. (Overgaard) DuBois and moved with his parents in 1945 to rural Centerville, SD. He graduated from Centerville High School in 1957, Southern State Teacher's College in Springfield, SD in 1963, and earned his Master's degree in guidance and counseling from South Dakota State University, Brookings, SD in 1970. He taught school or was a guidance counselor for 18 years in Burke, Greenwood, and Corsica, SD; Heron Lake, MN; and Paullina, IA. He then changed career paths, and worked for the State of Arizona for 26 years, with Job Service, and with Rehabilitation Services in Chandler, Globe, and finally in Casa Grande. He retired December 1, 2005.

He was a member of Scandia Lutheran Church in Centerville, SD; the Masonic Lodge in Wagner, SD; and Desert Adventures, Phoenix, AZ.

Grateful for having shared his life are one sister, Opal Dahlberg, Beresford, SD; three nephews, Mark Dahlberg (Jane), Beresford, SD; Wade Olson (Rhonda), Hurley, SD; Scott Olson, Sioux Falls, SD; four nieces, Janis Ostrem (Terry), Beresford, SD; Laurel Olson Eggers, Sioux Falls, SD; Jill Olson, Tacoma, WA; Margo Haines (Tom), Oklahoma City, OK; numerous great-nieces and nephews; his aunt Alberta Zaayer, Sioux Falls, SD; many cousins and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters: Marlys Dubois who died in infancy, and Ardis Olson, two brothers-in-law: Everett Olson and Marvin Dahlberg, and two great-nephews: Corey Ostrem and Jeremy Olson.

Esther Lewis was born February 25, 1918, in Ewing, Mo., to parents Mox and Nannie (Bywaters) Logdson. She died May 15, 2004, at the Good Samaritan Care Center in Centerville at the age of 86 years, two months and 20 days.
Esther was raised and attended school in Centerville after moving from Missouri at the age of two. She married Arling DuBois in 1934 and together they farmed and had eight children. In 1968, Esther married Ray Lewis. They moved with their daughter, Dawn, to Pennsylvania where they lived for 14 years.
In 1984, they returned to Centerville and continued to live there until Esther's death. Esther had a love for country music; she enjoyed attending concerts of various artists. She liked to bake and in her younger years, Esther liked dancing.
Esther is survived by her husband, Ray Lewis; seven children: Dale (Barbara) DuBois of Lennox; Donald (Carol Ann) DuBois of Mitchell; Donna (Monte) Zuck of Oklahoma City, OK; Diana Wheatley of Centerville; Richard (Linda) DuBois of Beresford; Gary (Debbie) DuBois of Vermillion; and Dawn (Larry) Hansen of Centerville; 16 grandchildren; four step-grandsons; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Arling, and one infant daughter, Arlene Faye "Susie" DuBois.

Larry was baptized at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Viborg, SD on March 11, 1946. He grew up on the family farm and graduated from Irene High School in 1963. Larry served two years in the US Army National Guard and worked at the telephone company in Irene and also did construction.

He looked through the windshield of a truck for 50+ years, up and down the road, trucking was his life. While on the road he would often stop in Oklahoma City and visit with his sister-in-law, Donna. Larry enjoyed watching football as a true Green Bay fan. He also enjoyed NASCAR as a Dale Earnhardt fan and going to many country music concerts over the years. He married Dawn Lewis on November 8, 2003 and they made their home in Centerville.

Surviving him is his wife, Dawn of Centerville; his sons, Kevin (Scott) of Green Valley, AZ, Korry (Tammy) of Las Vegas, NV, Kelly (Lori) of Colman, SD, Kurt (Tracy) of Sioux Falls, SD and Dusty (Joy) of Renner, SD; grandchildren, Brady, Lane Austin, Lane Ryan, Cole, Gabe, Logan, Carter, Olive and Eden; his sister, Cheryl Sere of Centerville; other extended family members and a host of friends. His parents, an infant brother and grandparents preceded him in death.
