Survivors include a daughter Shelly; a son Jess both of Chicago, IL; his fiance, Becky Brunker-Fawcett and her son, Troy of Monona; his father, Kenneth of Madison; four brothers, Eugene (Philana) Friede of McFarland, Paul Friede of Madison, Kenneth "Skip" (Pam) Friede of Madison, SD, and Mark (Sherri) Friede of Cottage Grove; four sisters, Deborah (Terry) Wilcox of Cottage Grove, Konoa Friede of Sun Prairie, Kelly (Terry) Friede, and Kimberly (Jamie) Tlugum both of Madison and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his mother Dorothy Friede. Military rites will be conducted by the Madison Veterans Council Firing Squad. Paul loved to fish; ride his bike; play a friendly game of cards; collect interesting pieces of jewelry; spend time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews; and truly enjoyed the simple things in life. Survivors include his father, Kenneth A. Friede; his sisters, Deborah (Terry) Wilcox, Kelly (Terry) Friede, Kanoa Friede, and Kim (Jamie) Tlygum; his brothers Eugene (Philana) Friede, Kenneth "Skip" (Pam) Friede and Mark (Sherri) Friede; many nieces and nephews; as well as many special friends such as Dorothy Dockstader and Ed Thayer. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy I. Friede and his brother James L. Friede.
