Pallbearers were Gary Kleinschmidt, Mike Kleinschmit, Edwin Kleinschniit, John Fischer, David Fischer Jr. and Joseph Fischer. Emery was born Oct. 15, 1914, to John and Anna (Bauman) Fischer in Bow Valley. He married Alma Kleinschmit Nov. 21, 1937, in Bow Valley. She died July 13, 1967. Emery grew up and lived in the Bow Valley area his entire life where he was engaged in farming until his illness in October 1999. He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Bow Valley. Survivors include three children and spouses, Madonna Fischer, Hartington; David and Vonda Fischer, Hartington; and Linda and Leon Steffen, Yankton, S.D; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Edgar and Rose Fischer, Mt. Angel, Ore; and Richard Fischer, Lexington; one sister,
Irene Schaefer, Gregory, S.D. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; infant daughter, Marie; and one grandson, Bill Fischer.
