He is survived by his wife, Lorraine (Turner) Kindschi of Baraboo; a daughter, Constance (Kindschi) Hegerfeld of Madison; a son, Richard R. (Karen) Kindschi of Mazomanie; 5 grandchildren, Vicki L. Hegerfeld, Kurt R. Kindschi, Michael S. (Yvette) Kindschi, Krista (Jason) Handel, and Lisa (Steve) Flogel; 5 great-grandchildren, Aaryn, Calen, and Kelsi Handel, Brennyn and Karsten Flogel; 1 sister, Audrey (Russell) O'Harrow of Oconto Falls, WI; 1 brother, John (Mildred) Kindschi of Columbus, WI; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Keith was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Clifford and Ivan Kindschi. At his request, Keith will be cremated. Lorraine, daughter of Clifford and Ada (Maxwell) Turner was born March 20, 1921 in Madison. On Sept. 10, 1941 she was united in marriage to Keith Kindschi at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Baraboo; he preceded her in death on June 11, 2002.

She enjoyed music, sewing, and being a part of many clubs and organizations in the community. A member of the Baraboo Music Club, she had a beautiful soprano voice and sang at many community events, weddings, funerals, etc. She also sang with the big bands at the Devils Lake Shelter Saturday night dances many, many years ago. She was a longtime member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ, working as the choir director for 35 years, singing in the choir for 75 years. She was also a member of the Womens Fellowship for at least 60 years and managed the dining room for the UCC annual chili suppers for the last 35 years.

Lorraine was also the musical director for the Baraboo Theatre Guild for numerous shows and participated in countless shows there. She was an active volunteer with the Al Ringling Theatre, as head usher for many events at the theater, and at one time served on the Board of Directors.

She is survived by her children, Constance Kindschi Hegerfeld of Black Earth and Rick (Karen) Kindschi of Mazomanie; grandchildren, Kurt (Lauri) Kindschi, Mike (Yvette) Kindschi, Krista (Jason) Handel, Lisa (Steve) Flogel, Vicki Hegerfeld; great-grandchildren, Nick (Tacy) Peterson, Zach (Katrina) Peterson, Aaryn (Kali) Handel, Cale (Kylie) Handel, Kelsi Handel, Brennyn Flogel, Karsten Flogel, Hansen Flogel, Olivia Hegerfeld; great-greatgrandchildren, Layni, Blayke, Ellie, Zadia, and awaiting the arrival of two additional little ones.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Keith; sister, Marjorie Turner and brother, John Turner.

A public visitation will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Redlin-Ertz Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. followed by a memorial service. A private family burial will take place at a later date.

She was born on May 5, 1919, in Woodland Township in Sauk County, Wis., the daughter of Ralph and Effie (Colvin) Mortimer. She was married to Paul Kintz on Aug. 21, 1938, in Wonewoc. He preceded her in death on Oct. 26, 2007. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, John Kintz; two sisters, Rhonda and Retta; and two brothers, John and Pete. Ruby helped her husband farm in both Richland and Sauk counties. Her love and warmth for others, her humor, insight, humility and generosity will be sorely missed.

She is survived by her children, Ralph Kintz of San Marcos, Calif., Janice Wegenke of Horseshoe Bend, Ark., Nancy (Maurice) Claff of Glendale, Calif; her daughter-in-law, Betty Kintz of Lacey, Wash; eight grandchildren, Carla Bartolacci, Craig Kintz, Karen Jorgenson, Scott Kintz, Kevin, Kim, Kent and Kris Wegenke; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, May 31, 2008, at 2 p.m. in Zion Lutheran Church in La Valle, with the Rev. Ed Iverson officiating. Burial will follow in Valton Cemetery in Valton. Friends may call on Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home in Wonewoc and again at the church from 1 p.m. until the time of service. The family requests memorials of remembrance be made to Zion Lutheran Church in La Valle in lieu of flowers. The Thompson Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

During her working years she worked as a receptionist for resorts. She was a longtime member of Fraternal Order Of Eagles #3431 in Horseshoe Bend and a Past President. Jan enjoyed reading, baking, camping and her family and friends.

She is survived by her three sons, Kevin Wegenke and wife Maryann of Wiseman, Arkansas, Kim Wegenke and wife Tamara of Memphis, Tennessee and Kent Wegenke and wife Donna of Nashville, Tennessee; sister, Nancy Claff and husband Maurice of Glendale, California; brother, Ralph Kintz of San Marcos, California; ten grandchildren, Richard Wegenke, Dawn Hodges, Jesse Cap, James Cap, Jenifer Blair, Sierra Stamley, Bryan Wegenke, Chris Wegenke, Danielle Wegenke and Kyle Wegenke and several great grandchildren.

Jan was preceded in death by her significant other, Ed Foreman; parents, Paul and Ruby Kintz; son, Kris Wegenke and brother, John Kintz.

Memorial service will be held Friday, February 17, 2017 beginning at 2:00 PM at Doty Family Funeral & Memorial Service Chapel with Bro. Gary Wallace officiating.

He was preceded in death by one brother: Bruce Acton. Walter was baptized in January of 1935 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. He attended grade school at East Narrows Prairie, Rock Elm and St. Peter’s Lutheran School. He was later confirmed at St. Peter’s Church in March 1948. He graduated from Reedsburg Area High School in 1952. In September of 1952 Walter became ill with polio and continued working on the family farm. He was drafted into the U.S Army in January of 1957 and then served two years of active military duty and two and a half years active reserve duty in 322nd Chemical Company in Baraboo.

He was united in marriage with Lorna Mae Farber November 14, 1964 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Reedsburg. This union was blessed with four children, Scott (Rebecca) Klitzke of Rock Springs, Sheri (Steve) Wideen of Prairie Du Sac, Lori Klitzke of Sauk City, and Todd (Angie) Klitzke of Reedsburg. He has one sister-in-law Beverly Meyer of Loganville. He has seven grandchildren, Tanner and Lauren Wideen, Connor, Cassidy, Chloe, Colby, and Cadence Klitzke.

Walter completed one year of a Farm Training Course at MATC in May of 1975. He farmed his entire adult life. He loved his family and enjoyed and took pride in caring for his cattle and improving his farm. He enjoyed sports, especially Packer and Brewer games and playing baseball both locally and while in service. He was a lifelong member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and enjoyed serving on several boards and committees.

Survivors include his wife Lorna and his family; many friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and three brothers.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 29 at 11 AM at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Reedsburg with Rev. Paul Crolius officiating. Interment will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 AM until the time of service at church Friday.

She was born on June 27, 1924 in the Town of Excelsior, Sauk County, the daughter of Edward and Ellen (Hirn) Schneider. On September 1, 1944, she was married to James W. Koenecke in Chicago, Illinois. Together they farmed in the Town of Excelsior until Jim's death on October 29, 2003. Wilma was an excellent cook and will be remembered for her fried chicken, homemade bread and her delicious pies. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, canning, crocheting and painting. She loved pretty flowers, watching birds and going for rides. Wilma was an avid reader and subscribed to four newspapers. She will be remembered as a local historian who was frequently called upon to clarify lineage of families in Sauk County. Wilma took a real interest in people, often remembering special events in their lives with cards and notes. She is survived by her three daughters: Geraldine (Larry) Gorman, of Rio; Susan (Wilbur) Abel, of Reedsburg and Kristine Koenecke (Greg Ketelsen), of Baraboo; five step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; her brother: Alfred (Barbara) Schneider, of Columbus; her sister: Audrey (Gene) Sinner, of Baraboo; two brothers-in-law: Julius (Adeline) Herritz, of Reedsburg and Kenneth Jicha, of Antigo; three sisters-in-law: LaVonne Koenecke, Evelyn Skinner and Gloria Crawford, all of Reedsburg; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband, Jim, she was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Ewald (Gertrude) Schneider and Roger (Eunice) Schneider; two sisters: Crystal Herritz and Mary Lou Jicha; brothers and sisters-in-law: Kenneth Koenecke, LaVerne (Herbert) Phelan, Ruby Koenecke, William Skinner, Thomas Crawford and three nephews: Dennis Schneider, Douglas Herritz, Lenny (Sharon) Koenecke, and one nephew-in-law, Ray Martin. A private family service will be held in the Nishan Chapel at Greenwood Cemetery in Reedsburg with Pastor Robert Butler officiating. Interment will follow the service. There will be a visitation from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at the Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg. The Hoof Funeral Home is serving the family.

He preceded her in death on January 19, 1973. Irene worked as a nursing assistant at the Ringling Manor and later at Jefferson Meadows in Baraboo until her retirement. Following her retirement, she worked for several summers at Reedsburg Foods. She was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Irene enjoyed playing cards, bingo and spending time with her family. Survivors include two children, Dennis (Judy) Koppen of Reedsburg and Donna (Leo) Tourdot of Reedsburg; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a sister, Idella Schultz of Reedsburg; a brother, Raymond Schultz of Reedsburg; a half-sister, Clara Held, of Reedsburg; two sisters-in-law, Florence Schultz of Reedsburg and Lorna Hamburg of Mount Horeb; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband, Everett, she was preceded in death by a brother, Elmer Schultz; and a sister, Vera Koppen. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 27, 2005, at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Reedsburg with Rev. Kevin Kohnke officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 until 7 p.m. on Friday at the Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Peter's Lutheran Church or the Edward Snyder Nursing Home would be appreciated. The Hoof Funeral Home is serving the family.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. today, Saturday, Aug. 16 at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Reedsburg with Rev. Paul Crolius officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery. Friends called on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Farber Funeral Home and may call today, Saturday, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church. He is survived by his half-sister, Clara Held of Reedsburg; sister-in-law, Florence Schultz of Reedsburg, nieces, Jan Schultz (John Meyers) of Reedsburg, Donna (Leo) Tourdot of Reedsburg and Audrey (Rev Karl) Heck of Williamsburg, IA; nephews, Dennis (Judy) Kippen of Reedsburg, Mark (Ramona) Schultz of Wausau, and Charles Schultz of Reedsburg; god-daughter, Susan (Robert) Riegel of Fond du Lac; special family friends, Elderine Bowlin and Loretta Christian; extended family and friends at the Zimmerman Nursing Home; numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
