Gloria May Kutz was born in Reedsburg, Wisconsin on November 21, 1933. Gloria's legacy as a wife (of late Romey Taylor), mom, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, Christian, youth advocate, and Florida Gator are reflective of the love, commitment, dedication, and core values of her Wisconsin family. As a devoted wife, Gloria celebrated 50 years with the love of her life - Romey Albert Taylor. As a mom of three sons, Gloria dedicated herself to the family life, and will be long remembered for her unconditional love, pound cake, and red velvet recipes. As a mother-in-law, Gloria accepted three daughters with love and respect. As an active grandmother, Gloria engaged the grandchildren's events, celebrations, and sorrows. As a Christian, Gloria was as an active member in the First Christian Church family. As a youth advocate, Gloria and husband Romey - were very active in Astronaut High School Athletics, and proud of their inclusion in the naming of Storey-Taylor Stadium at Donnelly Field. As an avid Florida Gator fan, Romey and Gloria truly believed "It's great to be a Florida Gator" traveling to games and events in support of collegiate athletics.

Gloria is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Romey Taylor. Gloria is very proud of her three sons; Allen (Diane), Mark (Marcella), and Zane (Kimberley). Gloria is blessed with eight grandchildren; Brent, Allison (Steve), Joshua (Candace), Jennifer, Stephanie, Justin, Ryan, and Jarrett, as well as two great-grandchildren; Trinity and Maksim. Gloria's love for her extended Wisconsin family is proven with the outpouring of love over the years, and continued support since her stroke in 2012.

Viewing is scheduled Friday, May 2, 2014 from 5pm - 7pm at North Brevard Funeral Home in Titusville. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 10am at the funeral home followed by Gloria entering her resting place at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Titusville.

She is survived by her children, John (Susan) Fish, Palmer, Alaska, and Steven (Karen) Fish, Pepin; a grandson, Gregory Fish, Stevens Point; her sisters, Noreane Prather, Reedsburg, and Gloria (Romey) Taylor, Mims, Fla; nieces, nephew, along with other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, Aug. 12, at 11 a.m. in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Reedsburg, with Rev. Kevin Kohnke officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday, Aug. 11, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Farber Funeral Home and again on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church. The family requests memorials of remembrance be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church. The Farber Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Her survivors include her husband, the city health officer, a son Robert of Reedsburg, a daughter, Jeanette, Madison; three grandchilden; and four sisters: Ms. Ida Klein, Barron, Wis; Mrs. Bertha Fisher and Miss Anna Reinecke, Reedsburg; and Mrs. Bertha Landgrebe, Yorktown, Iowa. She graduated from Sauk County Teachers College and taught in the Carr Valley School District before marrying Robert E. Riggert on December 31, 1942. Alice was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Reedsburg where she enjoyed singing in the choir, teaching catechism and participating in the Altar Society. Alice was a devoted and loving wife and mother, who always put her family first. She will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, generosity and beautiful smile. Alice is survived by four children, John Riggert of Madison, Jane Riggert Thompson (Doug) of Pewaukee, Mary Hendrickson (Alan) of Whitewater, Janet Eury (Dennis) of Pewaukee; grandson, Eric Thompson (Lae), David Thompson, Michael Hendrickson all of Madison and Christopher Hendrickson (Angie) of Mount Horeb; great grandchildren, Catherine, Lauren, and Andrew Thompson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert in 2000; and five siblings. A Mass of Christian Burial for Alice G. Riggert was conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 4, 2006, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Reedsburg witih Father Thomas Monaghan officiating. Burial followed in St. John's Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Sacred Heart Catholic School. Mr. Riggert retired from the railroad in 1967 after having been its Utah executive director for six years. He joined the D&RGW in 1920 as a passenger agent in Chicago, Ill. He was transferred to the Salt Lake City office in 1940 and served as assistant traffic manager, traffic manager and executive representative where his duties included promotion and purchasing work. Long active in civic affairs, Mr. Riggert served as a member of the board of governors of the Salt Lake City Chamber of Commerce. He was a past vice chairman and chairman of the Salt Lake County Chapter of the American Red Cross. Mr. Riggert was a board member of the Junior Achievement of Utah and was a board member of the Utah Safety Council. He was a past president of the Utah Salt Lake Rotary Club. He was also a member of the Alta Club, the Ambassador Club and the Salt Lake Country Club. Mr. Riggert was a veteran of World War I, serving in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the Navy League until his death. In 1965, Mr. Riggert was named Salt Lake County Chairman for the U.S. savings bond division of the U.S. Treasury Dept. In 1967, he was appointed a board member of the board of directors of the Utah Civic Ballet. Mr. Riggert was born in Chicago, Ill., Jan. 7, 1895, to Otto and Minna Riggert. He married Rose Zimmer in Chicago in 1927. She died on Sept. 24, 1966. He married Marian Rogers in Salt Lake City on Oct. 24, 1972. She died in 1974. Mr. Riggert is survived by a sister, Alma Stover, White Water, Wis; two nieces and a nephew. Funeral Mass of the Resurrection will be held Friday at 8:30 a.m. at the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 331 E. South Temple. Survivors include his wife, Marguerite (Bye) Riggert; one daughter, Marlene Fluharty, Mount Pleasant, MI; two sons, Howard M. Riggert, Scotia, NY, Robert E. Riggert, Mentor, Oh; nine grandchildren; one brother, Raymond Riggert; one sister, Valesca Wallner. There was no visitation. Private graveside rites were held on Saturday, June 25 in Twinsburg, OH.
