Judith Theresa Marie Hoesing was born on March 12, 1949, at rural Crofton to Roman Alphonse and Rosella J. (Arens) Kramer. She grew up on a farm southwest of Crofton and attended St. Rose of Lima Catholic Grade School in Crofton. She graduated from Crofton High School in 1967 and then attended Wayne State College in Wayne.
Judy was married to Duane J. Hoesing on Nov. 28, 1970, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Crofton. She and Duane farmed in the Menominee area, moving to their home west of Menominee in 1980.
Judy was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and the Ladies Guild. She was active in her parish, school and archdiocesan work, serving on numerous boards and committees. She was the St. Boniface sacristan for many years and was a member of the Christian Mothers. Judy helped on the farm and loved taking care of the yard, canning and tending to her garden and flowers. She was very artistic, a wonderful seamstress, and she often assisted in decorating the church.
Judy is survived by her husband, Duane of Menominee; three sons, Father Paul Hoesing of Omaha, Matthew and Lacey Hoesing of Norfolk and their children, Triston, Hannah and Levi, Jon Hoesing of Menominee; five brothers, Ron and Janet Kramer of Pierce, Dave and Marilyn Kramer of Crofton, Marcel and Sheila Kramer of Crofton, Kim and Jean Kramer of Fircrest, Wash., Steve and Arlene Kramer of Omaha; two sisters, Ruth and Dennis Schulte of Lincoln, DiAnn and Gordon "Butch" Bird of Lakeville, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roman and Rosella Kramer; parents-in-law Francis and Grace Hoesing; and a nephew, Kurt Hoesing.
Pallbearers will be Todd Kramer, Chad Kramer, Jared Kramer, Jerod Hoesing, Seth Bird and Joel Schulte.
