She was married to Richard Fox, Sept. 26th, 1850. To this union were born six children, Mrs. Hannah Hoadley, of Winterset; E. E. Fox, of near Middle River; R. S. Fox, of Des Moines; Mrs. Lizzie Lee, of Canute, Oklahoma, Wesley and Phillip Fox, who both died in infancy. They moved to Iowa in 1854. Mr. Fox enlisted in the army of the Civil War in which he died of small pox, Feb. 25th, 1863.

In 1865 she was married to Lewis Chambers, who survives her. To this union were born three children, Mrs. Josephine Darnell, of Middle River; Richard Chambers, who died in infancy, and Wallace Chambers, of near Earlham. Sister Chambers united with the Methodist Episcopal church in early life and continued a faithful Christian until death.

Funeral services conducted by the pastor, Rev. C. E. Trueblood, were held in the Middle River Methodist Episcopal church, Saturday, Feb. 22nd, 1908. The interment was in the Roberts cemetery.
