She was employed as a housekeeper for private residences and St. Clare Hospital until she became ill. Marie had been a member of the Bear Valley Brown Church for many years until moving to Baraboo where she joined the Emanuel United Methodist Church. She is survived by five siblings; Edwin Reuter of Baraboo, Marjorie (Ray) Lease of Barneveld, Gerald (Miriam) Reuter of South Carolina, Shirley Schmid of Waunakee, and Rosemary Herndon of Baraboo, 32 nieces and nephews, numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Marie was preceded in death by her daughter, Debra; her parents; two brothers-in-law, Red Herndon and Verlyn Schmid, and a sister-in-law, Dolores Reuter. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004 at the Emanuel United Methodist Church in Baraboo with Pastor Blake Overlien officiating. Burial will be in the Brown Church Cemetery in Bear Valley. Friends may call on Monday, Dec. 20th, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Redlin Funeral Home, 401 Madison Ave., in Baraboo, and at the church on Tuesday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
