Death | 2 January 2011 | Donald Paul White died on 2 January 2011 at age 83 Paul White, age 83, of Arena, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Jan. 2, 2011, at the Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital while surrounded by his family. He was born on March 29, 1927, the son of Edward and Agnes (Powers) White. Paul served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member of the Arena VFW and Barneveld American Legion. He was married on June 28, 1952, to the former Margaret Pletzer. Survivors include two sons, Phil (Karen) White and Kelly (Kim) White both of Arena; two daughters, Debbie (Randy) Hanzel of Las Vegas, Nev., and Bonnie (Joe) Bindl of Spring Green; four grandchildren, Jeremy, Jamie, Heather and Michael Paul; four great-grandchildren, Danny, Zach, Garrett and Myka Marie; five brothers, Dick (Janet) of Mazomanie, Bernard (Bernice) of Arena, Jack (Irene) of Richland Center, Charlie of Barneveld, and Raymond (Darlene) Arena; a sister, Marion Butler of Spring Green; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Agnes White; his wife, Margaret White; a grandson, Randy Hanzel Jr; two brothers, Robert and Earl White; and a sister, Helen Loy. A celebration of Paul's life will be held on Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at WALT AND DEB'S SANDBAR SPORTS ARENA, 200 East Sharon St., Arena. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of choice. The Richardson-Stafford Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. |
