He was born on June 28, 1930 in the Town of Westfield, Sauk County, the son of Ariel and Agnes (Giese) Reimer. Orland was a 1949 graduate of Reedsburg High School. On August 15, 1953, he was married to the former Isabelle M. Stieve. Orland was a lifelong farmer in the Town of Westfield. He was a land conservationist always wanting to leave things better than he found them. He was involved in 4-H and FFA for many years and he also enjoyed woodworking. Orland also had the imagination and ability to make something out of nothing. He was a faithful member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Loganville where he taught Sunday School for several years. Survivors include his wife of sixty-five years: Isabelle; three children: Daniel (Cynthia) Reimer, of Apple River, IL, Jane (Kurt) Muchow, of Rock Springs and Gary (Pamela) Reimer, of Loganville; five grandchildren: Matthew (Lindsey) Muchow and Alissa Muchow and her special friend, Roni Johnson; Mikhail (Amanda) Reimer, Wesley and Micah Reimer; one step-granddaughter: Lorana (Dustin) McCall; five great-grandchildren: Graham, Marlee, Charlie Jo, Jed and Nellie; one sister: Joann (Lloyd) Feltz, of Sugar Grove, IL; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a great-grandson: Ronin and his brother: David Reimer. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, July 8, 2019 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Loganville with Pastor Donald Glanzer officiating. Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. on Sunday at the Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg and after 10:00 A.M. on Monday at the church.

She is survived by her loving children, Michael (Barbara) Schanke, Joyce Schanke, Christine (Mark) Ziegler; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty (Evan) Tourdot; brother, Phillip Denzer, as well as other relatives and friends.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larry; daughter, Beverly Romberg; and one grandchild.

A private family service will be held at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Rock Springs. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in North Freedom.

Judy was born Feb. 19, 1913, in the town of Honey Creek to Herbert and Emma (Schroeder) Hager. She married Reinhold Gehrke on Jan. 9, 1932; he preceded her in death on July 22, 2004, after 72 years of marriage. In her earlier life, she worked at McArthur’s Hammock Factory and Flambeau Plastics and enjoyed working with her husband on the farm, until their move to Baraboo. She enjoyed gardening, playing cards, crocheting, bingo and especially polka dancing and traveling.



Judy is survived by her three children, Donna (friend, Ted) Gehrke of Madison, Audrey (Virgil) Belter of Janesville, and Robert (Katherine) Gehrke of San Antonio, Texas; seven grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren and five step-grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, two cousins; and many friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty; son-in-law, Dave Warner; one sister and three brothers.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in North Freedom where the funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016, friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church; Pastor Andrew Meyer will officiate. Inurnment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in North Freedom.



Judy was a special person to so many people and she loved you all. She was a strong, compassionate, caring and loving lady and will be dearly missed by those who knew her. We love you mother dear.

The family extends special thanks to the staff of Our House Assisted Living and Agrace Hospice Care for their caring and loving support of our mother. Memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or Agrace Hospice Care.
