Harrison "Bill" Harding Sr., 78, former minister of music at three area Presbyterian churches and co-founder and first chairman of the board of the South Richmond-Chesterfield Branch of the YMCA, will be held tomorrow at 11 a.m. at Forest Hill Presbyterian Church, 4401 Forest Hill Ave. Burial will follow in Maury Cemetery. Mr. Harding, a professional singer who also was founder of the Du Pont Male Chorus, later the Richmond Male Chorus, died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was a Richmond resident. Mr. Harding, a Baltimore native, moved to Richmond with his family when he was 2 years old. After he graduated from John Marshall High School, he attended the University of Richmond for two years, until his father died in 1931. He played varsity football at UR. Mr. Harding then worked for E. I. du Pont de Nemours & Co. for 29 years, until his retirement. He sang with the Richmond Opera Group in the 1920s and 1930s and was minister of music at Forest Hill, Bainbridge and Mount Vernon Presbyterian churches. During the 1950s, he founded and served as first director of the Du Pont Male Chorus. He helped found and served as first board chairman YMCA branch from 1960 until 1961. Mr. Harding played tennis for the Vestover Hllls-Jahnke Road tennis team in a local suburban league until he was 70. He was a member of the Manchester Gang, a group of men who formerly lived in the Manchester area of South Richmond. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Louise L. Harding; two sons, James H. Harding Jr. of New Kent County and Thomas A. Harding of Richmond; four grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Dorothy was born on the family farm in Henrico County, Virginia on November 12, 1931, to the late George Hermann Jr. and Goldie Pearl Martin Schulz. She attended Bethlehem Lutheran Day School and graduated from Highland Springs High School in 1948. After graduation, she attended Pan American Business School. In June, 1951, Dorothy and Charles Lee Burcham of Highland Springs married. They made their home on the family farm and raised three children, Judy Elizabeth Burcham Harris, Charles Lee Burcham Jr. and Roger Preston Burcham. Dorothy was a long-time member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, transferring membership when St. Paul Lutheran Church began as a mission in Sandston. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and the following brothers and sisters, Mary Lee Hermann Knight, Raymond Jacob Hermann, Paul Martin Schulz, Adolf William Schulz, George Henry Hermann, William Frank Hermann, Arthur Rudolph Hermann, John Byrd Hermann and Goldie Marie Hermann Frese. She is survived by her husband, Lee; children, Judy and husband, Dr. John Louis Harris III, Charles, Roger and wife, Debra Birkeland Burcham; grandchildren, John Louis Harris IV, Jennifer Harris Tice and her husband, Randall, Rebecca Anne Harris, Eric Preston Burcham and his wife, Olga, and Stephanie Marie Burcham; a great-grandson, Gavin Phoenix Tice; and brother, Dr. Ernest Conrad Hermann. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2015, at the Mechanicsville Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Rd. The family will also recieve friends from 11 a.m. to 12 noon with services begining at 12 noon Thursday, November 5, 2015, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

A memorial service will be held 11 AM Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Woodland Shores Baptist Church, 3555 W. Shawnee Road, Bridgman. Mildred was born to the late Ingvald M. and Anne Sofia (Branstad) Iversen on February 23, 1927, in Chicago, Illinois. In 1946 she married Palmer Gerald Lykken and he preceded her in death in 1960. She married Carlheinz Stasinowsky on May 5, 1968 and together they shared 45 years of marriage. She was a faithful member of Woodland Shores Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She kept a beautiful home where she enjoyed playing the piano, tending her garden and cooking, baking and canning. She was a wonderful mother and a doting grandmotherand still found time to love her husband! Millie had a sincere heart for service and her gift of hospitality was enjoyed by many missionaries, family & friends. While deeply saddened by her leaving this world, her family rejoices that she is now with Jesus. Survivors include her husband Carl; children - Arthur Lykken of Glendale, Arizona, Irene (Donald) Petree of Onsted, Michigan; 9 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; sisters - Marion Swarthout of Ohio and Joan Helfert of Illinois. Mildred was also preceded in death by a son - John Lykken in 2012 and a brother - Arthur Iversen.

John Palmer Lykken was born January 14, 1948 at Chicago, Illinois to Palmer G. and Mildred (Iverson) Lykken. He grew to adulthood and attended school at Elmwood Park, Ill and graduated from Elmwood Park High School. After high school he served an apprenticeship to become a tool and die maker. He also branched out into computer programing in numeric control machines.
He married Susan Kay Stone on July 12, 1969 at Sioux City, Iowa. He worked in various machine shops until 1985 when they moved to Hill City, SD. In Hill City he owned and operated John's Feed and Repair from 1987 to 1998. During this time he designed and made hundreds of projects throughout the area, including self-closing gates for the US Forest Service and the entry gate to the Hill City Cemetery. He truly loved his family and enjoyed draft horses and drove horses in parades and he was involved in the Centennial Wagon Train and was also a Ranch Manager for several years. He also enjoyed dirt biking. He retired in 1999 due to his health and moved to Rapid City in 2003.
He is survived by his wife: Susan Lykken of Rapid City; one daughter: Kirsten (Jarrett) Culverhouse of Rapid City; three grandchildren: Brennan, Lynae, and Shayla Culverhouse all of Rapid City; his mother: Mildred (Carl) Stasinowsky of Bridgman, Michigan; one brother: Arthur Lykken of Phoenix, AZ and one sister: Irene (Don) Petree of Onstad, Michigan.
John was preceded in death by his father: Palmer Lykken and one son: Aaron Lykken in 2001.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church in Hill City.
His funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Monday, March 19 at The Little White Church in Hill City with Rev. Ron Walker officiating.
Burial will follow at the Hill City Cemetery.
