Ron is survived by his wife Colleen (Gohde); his daughters, Laura (John) Feldman and Erin Gohde; his son, Chris Fraunfelder Sr; and his grandchildren, Brendan, Cooper and Emma, all of whom were his whole world. He is also survived by his mother, Dorothy Duhr, and 2 brothers, Reggie (Connie) Duhr and Jim Duhr.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hale and his brother, Randy Duhr.

A memorial service will be held at 12 noon, Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at St. Peters Lutheran Church, in Janesville, WI, with a luncheon to follow.

Gordon was reared in Athens, Ga., and received a bachelor's degree from Albany State College in Georgia in 1969. She came to Lawrence with her husband, Jacob Gordon, in 1970, when he was recruited by Kansas University to start KU's African studies department.
