He was the son of Oliver and Ruth (Udelhofen) Bierman on March 22, 1935 in Tennyson, Wisconsin.

He went to St. Andrews Catholic School. He joined the Air Force in 1954-1958 where he was stationed in England for three years. In 1960 he married the love of his life, Marlene Wunderlin. Together they had four children. He worked as meat manager for Dick's Super Market, before moving to Stoughton and managing Super Valu. He then pursued a career in electronics and was with General Communications for 30 years.

Nick is a member of the St. Ann's Catholic Church in Stoughton. He is a member of VFW 5276 in Potosi and the American Legion Post 59. He formed the Honor Guard for the Post and was very proud to do the military service for the Veterans with his comrades. He also had been a member of the Stoughton Conservation Club. He enjoyed the annual deer hunting trip in Phillips with Brian, Dwayne, Chris, grandsons, and brothers-in-law. He liked boating, fishing, golfing and especially spending time with his family. Nick and Marlene enjoyed traveling to Mexico, England and France, vacations to the North Woods and celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary in Virginia Beach with the entire family.

He is survived by his loving wife Marlene of 55 years. Daughters Bonnie (Pat) Kiss, their children
Mariah (John) Richards and their son, Ethan, Katee Showers (Mike Guertin), Jenny (Natalie Fores), Katie and Sara Kiss and Matt (Heather) Weissenrieder. Tammy (Keith) Anderson, their children Tyler (Jess), Justin (fiancé Corinne Galvan), Lucas and Jacob. Tina (Dwayne) Strandlie, their children Scott and Cassie. Son Brian (Katie) Bierman and their children Justin and Alex. Sisters, Mary Jayne Menne, Doris (Robert) Doering, Madonna Bierman, mother-in-law Cecelia (Babe) Wunderlin, sister-in-law Sharon Bierman and many nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.

He's preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Sam (Janice) and DeWayne, father-in-law Francis Wunderlin and brother-in-law Frank Menne.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Stoughton, with Fr. Randy Budnar officiating. Burial, will full Military honors will take place in St. Ann Cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited to a luncheon, following the burial, at the Stoughton American Legion Post 59. Friends may greet the family from 9:00 AM until the time of services Wednesday at church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Agrace HospiceCare, St. Ann's Catholic Church or Stoughton Veterans Memorial Park.

He will be missed by his family and friends. He had a great sense of humor and always had a story to tell. The family would like to thank Agrace HospiceCare for their loving care and support.

Cecilia was born on June 27, 1927 in Phillips, Wisconsin, daughter of John and Stella Berka. She was united in marriage to Francis I. Wunderlin of Potosi, Wisconsin, on April 23, 1949. He preceded her in death on June 2, 1991. After their marriage they moved to the Wunderlin family farm where she lived until 1993. In 1993 she moved to Platteville. “Babe” enjoyed reading, shopping, baking, crafting and playing cards. She shared her baked goods with various businesses in Platteville. She was recognized by the Platteville Police Department with a certificate for her baked goods and generosity. “Babe” enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her many grandchildren.

Babe is survived by her ten children, Marlene Bierman, Korlin “Corky” (Jane) Wunderlin, Terry (Jan) Wunderlin, Randall (Jane) Wunderlin, Gary (Sorrel) Wunderlin, Greg (Patty Francis) Wunderlin, Rebecca A. Wunderlin, Daniel (Stella Mello) Wunderlin, Cheryl (Joe) Adametz and Mary (Alan Flesch) Wunderlin. She was blessed with 28 grandchildren, 63 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings, daughter-in-law, Barb (Clayton) Wunderlin and son-in-law, Nick Bierman.

DeWayne was an insurance executive with the Insurance Center for 39 years. DeWayne loved to ride his snowmobile, and enjoyed hunting. He loved working on his John Deere tractors and spending time at his home up north. DeWayne loved to spend time with his family and friends and his dogs, Brandy and Freddy. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his children: Craig (Melissa) Bierman, Potosi; Stacey (Tony) Wagner, Oregon; Brad (Suzy) Bierman, Potosi; Shelly (Ryan) Fecht, Potosi; his former wife, Sharon Bierman, Potosi; his grandchildren: Brandon, Will, Emily, Kylie, Claire, Sydney, Carter, Nic, and Ben; his brother and sisters: Nick (Marlene) Bierman, Stoughton; Mary Jayne (Frank) Menne, Platteville; Doris (Bob) Doerring, Lancaster; Madonna Ashbrook, Schaumburg, IL; special friend: Lenore Nesler, Lancaster; 16 nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.

In addition to his parents, DeWayne was preceded in death by his brother, Sam Bierman.

Friends joined the family for a Celebration of Life Service on Sunday, December 28, 2008, after 3:00 p.m. at the Holiday Gardens in Potosi. The family requests people attend in casual attire. Martin Funeral Home in Potosi is assisting the family.

She was confirmed at and a lifetime member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in North Freedom. She was very proud that she worked for the former Industrial Coils in Baraboo for 43 years until her retirement. She enjoyed bowling, her fishing trips to Minocqua, traveling to national state parks and her trips to Florida, Hawaii and Arizona.

Genevieve is survived by her sister, Phyllis (Bill) Pierce of Reedsburg; sister-in-law, Blondine Lange; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Wayne Lange.

Per Genny’s wishes, a private family graveside service will be held at North Freedom Oak Hill Cemetery. Family would like to thank all the staff at the Sauk County Healthcare Center for all the exceptional care that they provided her and her niece Pam for all the love and care she gave Genny.
