To celebrate Brenda's life, family and friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 2, 2014, at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St., where there will be a parish scripture wake service held at 6:30p.m. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Brenda was born on February 2, 1961, in Dubuque, daughter of Calvin and Betty (Kerkenbush) Lindecker.

Brenda attended Dubuque Senior High School. She lived a happy, fulfilling life in Dubuque and also resided in Boise, Idaho for a time. Brenda was employed as a Para Professional at Senior High School for 20 years and also worked at Fed Ex. She enjoyed both of her jobs, and always found great pride in helping all the children who came into her life. She married Bill Parker on July 12, 1986, at the Dubuque Arboretum and they have been inseparable ever since. Brenda was an inspiration to everyone she met, always full of energy and life. She was the best wife, mother, grandma, daughter, sister and friend a person could ask for. Brenda was loved and cared for by many, many people and will be remembered for the way she touched their lives. She loved to laugh, garden, riding motorcycles, spending time on the river and was an excellent cook. Her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends.

Maxine was born September 4, 1926, in Potosi, WI, the daughter of John and Johanna Meoska Schroeder. On September 4, 1946, she married Glenn F. Egan in Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Dubuque. He died June 11, 2007.

She enjoyed cooking, baking, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include two sons, John (Mary Kay) Egan, and James (Barb) Egan, both of Dubuque; two daughters, Kathy Egan of Dubuque, and Mary (Vern) Winker of Blue Mounds, WI; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Besides her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, an infant sister, and her brothers, Alfred, Robert, Howard and Father Gaudence C. Schroeder.
