Bernard was born December 28, 1949, in Dubuque, IA, to Robert Ehlers and Inez (Leibfried) Ehlers. At the age of one year, Bernard was afflicted with a severe case of measles (rubeola), leaving him with brain damage and partial paralysis which was with him for the remainder of his life. He worked occasionally at Goodwill Industries and similar other odd jobs. He was uniquely skilled in doing jigsaw puzzles and the bigger the better. He was fond of reading western novels, especially those written by Louis L'Amour and was a collector of American Indian memorabilia. He enjoyed traveling and took trips to Greece, Italy, Australia, Alaska, Hawaii, Canada and throughout the United States. For the last (18) years of his life, his legal co-guardians were his sister, Sandra, and niece, Jennifer Schneider.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Ehlers (1992); mother, Inez (2002); and two infant siblings, Donald and Mary; and sister-in-law, Melanie (Thomas) Ehlers (2011).

He is survived by sister, Sandra (Ronald) Flink, of Naperville, IL; brothers, Jerry (Donna) Ehlers, of Medford, OR, Thomas Ehlers, of Dubuque, IA, and Roger (Karen) Ehlers, of San Diego, CA; as well as four nephews; one niece; six grand-nephews and two grand-nieces.

Pallbearers are: Thomas Ehlers (brother), Roger Ehlers (brother), Nicholas Ehlers (nephew), Chuck Schneider (nephew) Joshua Schneider (grand-nephew), and Ron Flink (brother-in-law).

The Miller Funeral Home, in East Dubuque, IL, is in charge of arrangements.

Don, an only child, was born to Eula (Vineyard) and John Ogrin on March 13, 1933, in Great Falls. Don attended school in Great Falls and graduated from Great Falls High School in 1951.

Don moved to Butte to attend Montana Tech. This is when he met his wife of 55 years, Raelene Grant. Don and Raelene were married Nov. 25, 1953. Don then joined the Army for two years, then was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis at the age of 21. Don and Raelene moved back to Butte and Don attended Montana Tech and graduated with a degree in petroleum engineering, then became employed with Montana Power Co. for 27 years before retiring in 1985.

For the past 20 years, Don was bedridden due to his illness and his wife took care of him on a daily basis. Don played football and hockey for Montana Tech. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, reading and hanging out with friends (Wally Love) and family. Don was very proud of watching his children during their sporting events and attended as many games as he could.

Don had six children: Kathy Ogrin, Pat Ogrin, Jerry and (DeeDee) Ogrin, Lynn and (Gavin) Tablada, Mike Ogrin, and Dawn Ann (Tom) Peterson; grandchildren, Michelle Ogrin, Matt and (Nadine) Ogrin, Ryan and Kasie Hayden, Christian and Dylan Ogrin, Katie and Mason Tablada, Jake Ogrin, Michael and Madison Ogrin, Cody Kelly, Chad, Lexie and Sloan Peterson; great-grandchildren, Xander and Dante Ogrin; brother-in-law and sister in-law, Jim and Jane Grant; and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

Relatives and friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 8, in St. Patrick's Church for visitations. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. in St. Patrick's Church. Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Mausoleum.

Larry was born October 31, 1941 to Vernon and Mary Heller. He grew up as one of four Heller boys on the west side, in the shadow of Mt Helena. Being a young man in the glory days of the 1950’s meant cruising to Gerties, drag racing in Belgrade, and hanging out on the gulch downtown. Larry settled down a bit when he joined the Army National Guard in 1958. He started a career as a mechanic, working at the Fort Harrison UTES. That career would last 31 years! Larry earned the nickname “Lightning” and it stuck. Larry was married in 1961, had two children, and later divorced. In 1975, he met and married the love of his life, Joann Greenup. They had 44 years of adventure and laughter together. Larry was a great storyteller, especially around the campfire. Some of his best times were hunting near York, and camping on the Little Blackfoot. His witticisms will be missed, he was truly a fun guy and entertained us all, especially the kids.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Pat and Eddie. He is survived by his wife Joann, brother David (Diane) Heller, daughter Jackie (Scott) Smith, son Michael (Angela) Heller, grandchildren Amanda (Eric) Huberty, Kalli (Jake) Sharbono, Courtney Smith, Colton Smith, Tyler Heller, and one great granddaughter, Lily Smith. Special thanks to St Peters Hospice, Dr Bailey, and Mickey and Karissa.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 26th at Resurrection Cemetery.
