Joyce was born in Sumpter Township on June 2, 1927, to the late George and Gertrude (Welsch) Gavol. She graduated from Sauk City High School in 1945. Joyce married Rubin “Al” Koenecke on Sep. 14, 1948, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 14, 1993. She worked for 25 years at the Wisconsin Department of Motor Vehicles in Madison.

As a life-long resident of the Sauk Prairie area, Joyce delighted in socializing with family and many friends, and enjoyed reading, traveling, collecting dolls, puzzle-solving, and playing euchre. She will always be remembered for her amiable character and thoughtfulness.

Joyce is survived by sons, Roger (Jenny) Koenecke of Kingston, Massachusetts, and Ronald (Nora) Koenecke of Falls Church, Virginia; grandchildren, Rachel Koenecke of Pembroke, Massachusetts, Jeffrey (Leah) Koenecke of Kingston, Massachusetts, and Allison Koenecke of Stanford, California; great grandsons, Graham, Trevor, and Oliver Koenecke; niece, Carol (Jerry) Kreibich; nephew, Ted (Linda) Gavol; and nieces-in-laws, JoAnn Wilcox and Debbie Webb.

In addition to her husband, Joyce was preceded in death by her son, Randall Koenecke; and brothers, Robert Gavol and John Gavol.

Joyce’s family would like to acknowledge the exceptional care provided by the staff of Maplewood Village and Maplewood of Sauk Prairie and special friendship of Marion and Lloyd Ballweg, and Sarah and John Sullivan.

A private family service will be held and burial will be held at the Sauk City Cemetery.

Rachel Hall, Karen (Christian) Hall and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Marie Bindl, a sister, Rita Hall, and a brother, Robert Bindl. A Mass of Christian Burial with the immediate family will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023 at 10:30 A.M. at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Richland Center. Monsignor Roger Scheckel will officiate with burial in the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Cemetery in Spring Green, WI where military graveside rites will be conducted by the Spring Green American Legion Post #253.

Dorothy worked as a bookkeeper at the Equity Co-op, J C Penney and for many years at the office of Drs. Stadel and Knight. She was a good mother and a lifelong member of St Peter's Lutheran Church. Dorothy enjoyed gardening and sewing. Her greatest joy was to be able to bring joy to others. She will be missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; her parents; her step-mother, Marie (Ost) Kaun; and her brother, Arnold (Helen) kaun.

Survivors include her daughter, Lonna Nachtigal (Joe Lynch) of Ames Iowa; her son, Joseph (Kitty Ortman) of Missoula, MT; three grandchildren, Arielle, Jake and Zack, all of Missoula, MT; sisters-in-law, Thelma Hartje of LaValle, Clara (Vern) Westedt of Reedsburg, Bernice Schultz and Lena Steinmetz of Oregon, IL; brothers-in-law, Art (Ramona) Nachtigal, Reedsburg and Clyde Nachtigal, Baraboo; many nieces and nephews.

Interment will be in St Peter's Cemetery, Reedsburg.

Survivors include his wife, Pat; five children: Alan Doering, and his significant other, Karen Hernandez, of North Freedom; Betty (Steve) Wilcox, of Madison; Ronald (Cindy) Doering, of LaValle; Lu Ann (Calvin) Brey, of Reedsburg and Peggy (Kevin) Stuessi, of Deerfield; twelve grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; his sister-in-law: Rusty Doering, of LaValle; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his seven brothers and sisters. A private family graveside service will be held at the Oak Lawn Cemetery in LaValle. She was born March 17, 1926 in Menominee, Wisconsin, the daughter of Herman and Beulah (Robertson) Will. She resided in Chicago Heights, Illinois from the age of 14 until retiring in 1991 when she moved to Loganville, Wisconsin. She married Leonard Emil Dierking on June 4, 1949 in Beecher, Illinois and they were blessed with three children. She valued and loved her family very much. Lucille was a member of St. John- Faith United Church of Christ in Matteson, Illinois, a former member of the Reedsburg Quilt Guild and the VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed getting together with her siblings to visit and retell stories from their days on the farm. Lucille was a multi-talented woman, as a seamstress, quilter, cook and baker, preserving the bounties of the gardens each season. She encouraged her children and grandchildren in faith, family and the value of hard work and modeled these things to them. A tremendous work ethic all of her life she worked as a line cook at The Tivoli Restaurant in Chicago Heights, Illinois for 19 years and CFC International Film Coating retiring after many years. After moving to Loganville, she "unretired" and worked for the Reedsburg School District -food service. She enjoyed being around children and young adults. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Leonard (1988); son: Leon Dierking (1996) and all 11 siblings: Helen (John) Hiber, Lorraine (Dougal) McIntyre, Everette (Sarah) Will, Alyce (Robert) Ankrom, Gilbert Will, Lois (Arnold) Delfs, Norma (Richard) Lively, Jerry Will, Harold Will and two infant siblings that died at birth. Lucille Dierking is survived by her daughter: Lorinda (Thomas)Broughton, of Loganville, WI; son: Loren Dierking, of Chicago Heights, Illinois; grandchildren: Brian Dierking , Washington D.C., Loralei Dierking, Missouri, Brent Broughton, Loganville, Reid (Heather) Broughton, of Loganville; two great-grandchildren: Reice and Amelia Broughton; sisters-in-law: Shirley Will and Marlene Will; nieces, nephews and many friends. Visitation will be held at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, in Loganville, on Sunday, December 30, 2018 6:00-7:00 p.m. with a funeral service at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Donald Glanzer officiating. Lucille will be laid to rest at St. Luke's Cemetery, Beecher, Illinois. Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice. The Hoof Funeral Home is serving the family.

Lorraine enjoyed gardening, working with her flowers, cooking and reading. Survivors include her five children: Diane Brandt, of San Diego, California; Patti (Werner) Grantin-Gros, of Denver, Colorado; Kurt (Dana) Grantin, of Prairie du Sac; Julie (Rich) Kastelitz, of Prairie du Sac and Mark Grantin, of Reseda, California; seven grandchildren: Craig and Jamie Brandt, Meghan and Ashley Grantin, Justin Grantin, Sydney and Camdyn Kastelitz; numerous great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Phil, on February 22, 2002; one sister: Marlene Goetsch and three brothers: Donald, Gaylord and infant, Harold Goetsch. There will be a visitation from 12 noon to 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at the Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg. Private interment will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery in Reedsburg. Kruse, age 85, Loganville, passed away on Friday, December 14th, 2018, at Maplewood Nursing Home in Sauk City. He was born on June 11th, 1933, at his family home in Loganville; the son of Edwin E. and Minnie (Schulte) Kruse. Edward was a 1951 graduate of Reedsburg High School. On August 2nd, 1955, he was united in marriage to Donna Fae (Giese). Edward was a true farmer whom continued the Kruse family operation through a Century Farm celebration. He was passionate about his field work, Holstein cows, spotted swine, and especially his family. He used and collected Oliver tractors. From 1957 to 1959 Edward served in the U.S. Army. From the 60's-80's he served on the board of D.H.I.A., Holstein Breeders, Swine Breeders, Pork Producers of Sauk County, and Sauk County Farm Bureau. He also served as President of the WI Spotted Swine Breeders Association. Although he enjoyed helping the local community by serving on the above committees; he was most at home on an Oliver tractor, in the field, tending to the farm. Life didn't need to be complicated, treat others fairly and you will receive fairness in return. Survivors include his wife, Donna Fae; their children: Sharon Glade, Scott Kruse, Keith (Arlis) Kruse, Mark (Heidi) Kruse; several grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Rosemary Slick, and Jean Engel. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 19th, 2018, at Emanuel United Methodist Church, 101 14th St., Baraboo with Pastor Blake Overlien officiating. Interment will be at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery in Loganville. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 18th, from 4-7 P.M. at the Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg, and after 10 A.M. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church or a charity of choice. The Hoof Funeral Home is serving the family.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Loganville with Pastor Donald Glanzer officiating. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Reedsburg.
