She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church, Spring Green and worked as the church secretary for many years. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, crossword puzzles, bowling, cats, bird-watching and spending time with family and friends. Her dedication to her family is exemplified by the 23 years she spent caring for her husband after he was paralyzed in an accident.

Survivors include three children – Mary Ellen Lins (Gary Lind) of Lake Mills, Kevin Lins (Denise) of Spring Green and Julie Lins (John Robeson) of Urbandale, Iowa; ten grandchildren - Daryl Nachreiner, Matt Lins, Stephanie Knight, Vicki Broughton, Kristi Casey, John Eugene Robeson, Jennifer Robeson, Amanda Mattick, Tyler Hanold and Nicholas Hanold; nine great grandchildren - Henry and Frances Lins, Gianna and Cole Knight, James David and Everett James Broughton, Jane and Joseph Casey and Remington Mattick; two sisters, Carol (Glen) Lanzendorfer, and Marilyn Rooney; sisters-in-law, Lucy Rooney and Betty Rooney; the Lins family; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Agnes and Harold; husband, Gene 1999; and brothers, William (Lucy) Rooney and Thomas (Betty) Rooney and sisters Jeanne (Robert) Paskey and Susan (Lee) Thompson.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Colleen will be celebrated at ST. JOHN THE EVANGELIST CATHOLIC CHURCH, 129 Daley St, Spring Green, WI 53588 at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 28, 2021. Burial will be at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held at ST. JOHN THE EVANGELIST CATHOLIC CHURCH on Monday, September 27, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass.

She was united in marriage with Theron D. Long on September 21, 1952, at the Evangelical United Methodist Church in Richland Center. Louise was a dedicated mother, wife, and homemaker. She also sold Avon, worked with her husband at his milk testing site, and worked at Montgomery Ward for her best friend, Joan (Huffman) Clark. Louise loved ceramics and would often gift others with one of her creations. Louise was a member of the V.F.W. Women’s Auxiliary. She was a faithful member of the church, she served in many capacities, her favorite being a Kindergarten Sunday School Teacher. She dearly loved her church Circle Group and Builders Group.

Survivors include her daughter Shelly (Kenneth Brown) Long of Holmen, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Louise was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and stepfather Joseph Bock (Carol Bock).

A graveside service for Carol and Theron will be held on their 69th wedding anniversary on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Richland Center Cemetery.

Albert was born on September 27, 1940 in Iowa City, Iowa the son of William and Violet (Sarazin) Haberkorn. He was united in marriage to Nancy C. Munger on November 14, 1959 in Dubuque, Iowa. Together they had six children. Al was a commercial fisherman in Potosi, while he and Nancy operated the Legion Bar, Potosi. Following their divorce in 1978 Al moved around to California, Washington and Florida before returning back to Platteville in February 2018 to live with his loving daughter, Lisa, who has cared for him for the past three and a half years.

Al loved fishing and sold his big catfish in the Chicago, Galena and Savannah, Illinois areas. Many people enjoyed eating his smoked carp. He tried his hand in wood carving and became very good at that as well. Also worked and was a well respected team member of Quality Control and Telephone Book distribution throughout the United States. His dogs, Daisy and Noel, were as attached to him as he was to them. He loved watching wrestling, old westerns, and anything about fishing on TV.

He is survived by his children, Karen (Dennis) Potter of Lancaster, WI, Lisa (Rich) McNett of Platteville, Steve (Shannon Nyberg) Haberkorn of Monona, IA, Cindy (Joe Dowell) Haberkorn of Fennimore, Bob (Connie) Haberkorn of Potosi; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 6 step-grandchildren; 12 step-great-grandchildren; brother, Dick (Donna) Haberkorn; sister, Arlene (Patrick) Dunn and his buddy, Penny. He was preceded in death by his son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Judy Haberkorn in 1993, his parents, one grandchild in infancy, sister and brother-in-law, Madonna and Oliver Kieler, and his former wife, Nancy, in 2008.

He was born November 3, 1963, in Dubuque, IA the son of Francis “Frank” and Nila Ann (Kieler) Furlong.

Mark graduated from Galena High School with the class of 1982.

He was united in marriage to Joyce Timmerman on January 20, 1984, at St. Francis de Sales Church, Hazel Green, WI.

Mark owned and operated Vinegar Hill Leadmine for twenty years. He worked in construction as a contractor for most of his life and later traveled with Robbins and Morton building hospitals, and then worked at Lemfco. Mark was a member of the Mississippi Ridge Runners, Pheasants Forever, and the Galena Boat Club. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, boating, and snowmobiling. Mark loved and looked forward to the annual family fishing trip to Danbury, WI. He loved joking with family and friends. Mark was a loving husband, father, grandfather, sibling, and friend, and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce, two sons, Nathan (Alisha Palmer) of Elizabeth, IL and Niles (Tiffany) of Hazel Green, his daughter, Nakita (Jake Kane) of Galena, four grandchildren, Mackenzie, Mea, Alayna and Sawyer Furlong, his siblings, John (Robin) of Phoenix, AZ, Susette (Dirk) Einsweiler of Galena and Jim (Diane) of Hazel Green, his father and mother in law, Merlin (Carol) Timmerman of Galena, brothers and sisters-in-law, Monica (Mike) Hoppman of Galena, Diane (Jim) Morgan of Janesville, WI, Jane (Dennis) Steffes of Elizabeth, Neil (Jodi) Timmerman of Galena, Nick Timmerman of Galena, Ben (Carrie) Timmerman of Galena and Carrie (Kevin) Ward of Mechanicsburg, IL, twenty-two nieces and nephews, and one great-niece.

He was preceded by parents, his maternal grandparents, Ollie (Harriet) Kieler, his paternal grandparents, John (Agnes) Furlong, and a brother-in-law, Brian Runde.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Hospice of Dubuque, Dr. Crist, and Galena Medical Associates. Your care and kindness during this difficult time will never be forgotten.

A committal service will be 11 AM, Friday, July 3, 2020, in Vinegar Hill Cemetery, rural Galena. A celebration of Life will be held from 1 to 4 Sunday, July 5, 2020, at 10146 Council Hill Road, Galena. Cremation rites will be accorded.
