Death18 January 2011Robert James Linkenheil died on 18 January 2011 at age 55 Robert "Rob" Linkenheil passed away in San Diego, California on January 18th, 2011 after a brief battle with amyloidosis. Rob was born in St. Paul, Minnesota on May 18, 1955 approximately eight minutes before his identical twin brother, Ron. Rob lived his childhood years in the Twin Cities area graduating from Orono High School in 1973. He moved to California after graduating from the Thunderbird School of Global Management in 1983. Rob built his career at Bank of America (BAC) in banking and finance becoming Senior Vice President and National Sales Manager. Rob started his own family when he married Yvonne Hernandez in 1992 and was blessed with three children, Andrea, 27, Alyssa, 18, and Dylan, 16. In 1999 he left BAC to found RJL Ventures, a real estate investment company. Rob loved water-skiing as a child on Lake Independence with his family. He also enjoyed deep sea fishing, golfing, sailing and downhill skiing with his friends. Rob had a generous heart and was a great family man, husband, father, brother, friend, co-worker, and neighbor. Anyone who had the pleasure of meeting Rob was left better for it. He will be missed by many but left us with many wonderful memories. Rob is survived by his wife, Yvonne; two daughters Andrea and Alyssa; son Dylan; two grandchildren, Lex and Trent; his parents Robert and Joyce Linkenheil, brothers Ronald Linkenheil and Michael Linkenheil and sister, Terri Bergstrom. The memorial service for Rob will be held at the Temko residence, 1488 Lauren Ct., Encinitas 92024, on Saturday, February 12th at 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Jean (the late Philip) Greenwood; her infant brother, Dale Hentges; and a niece and a nephew. Sister Joan professed vows as a Benedictine Sister on June 27, 1950. She was an educator and teacher in Chicago and Colorado and was a pastoral minister and director of religious education in Colorado. There will be a Memorial Mass for Sister Joan at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 23, at Christ the King Parish, 1708 Horseshoe Drive, followed by a luncheon. Interment will then take place at Lakeside Cemetery in Canon City.

Fifty-four year old Phillip Greenwood of Slidell was on a business trip to Los Angeles, but planned to stop in Las Vegas to visit his daughter, Pamela Greenwood Johnson.

Mr. Greenwood was employed by Martin-Marietta Aerospace Corp. He was director of materials for the external fuel tank of the space shuttle under constriction at the Michoud Assembly center. He had worked for Martin-Marietta for 22 years.

He was survived by his wife, Jean Carrol Hentges; sons, Matthew Wayne and Kevin Thomas Greenwood and daughter Pamela G. Johnson.

The couple made their home in Funk, where he was employed as a Production Manager by L & S Industry, Inc. Michael was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, where he was active in the Knights of Columbus, serving as a past Grand Knight. Michael was a former wrestling coach at Kearney High School and was involved in the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts of America.Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Tami, of Funk; sons, Carter and Ty, of Funk; mother, Lorraine (Ken) Cox, of North Platte; sister, Toni (David) Slattery, of North Platte; nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Richard Fleshman; and grandparents, Charles and Elsie Fleshman and Walter and Anastasia Petrig.Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 11, at St. James Catholic Church in Kearney with the Rev. Mike McDonald officiating.
Cremation will take place following mass. Michael's cremains will be scattered on his favorite hunting ground on the Big Horn Mountains in Wyoming. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, April 10, at St. James Catholic Church with a vigil service following at 7 p.m.
