Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage with the Rev. Dr. J. Samuel Subramanian officiating. Inurnment will be at the Osage Cemetery.

There will be a gathering of family and friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home.

Paul was born Nov. 18, 1963, in Osage, the son of Bill Shaffer and Marilyn (Dorl) Shaffer. Paul was educated in Osage Schools, graduating from Osage High School in 1982. He was employed at Dimensional Graphics in Mason City. He enjoyed spending time with his many friends.

Paul is survived by his mother, Marilyn Shaffer of Osage; his father, Bill Shaffer, of Hazel Green, Wis; three sisters, Brenda Voight and significant other, Steve Willey, and nephew Ryan Voight of Owatonna, Minn; Sally (Zeke) Ogden of Osage; Amy (Brian) Beaver and nephew and niece, Cody and Katie Beaver, of St. Ansgar; one brother, Russ Shaffer and nephews, Lee and Jay Shaffer, of Dubuque; maternal grandmother, Vi Coutant of Upton, Wyo., and numerous aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Bill and Edna Shaffer; two maternal grandfathers, Fred Dorl and Smokey Coutant; and a brother-in-law, Russ Voight.

She was survived by her husband Victor Jantti, sons Christopher Jantti, Justin Jantti, and David Vinyard of Des Peres, Missouri, son Danny Vinyard (Fiancé Darla Petty) of Union, Missouri, son Melvin (Boo) Jantti of South St. Louis, Missouri, daughter Bridget Jantti (significant other James Moore) of Paragould, Arkansas, and daughter Michelle Bazluki of Buffalo, New York. Two sisters Carol Conklin and Judy King of Washington, Missouri. Also grand-daughter Tiffany Melton (Robby) and their daughter Kiley Melton of Brookland, Arkansas, grandson Lance Vinyard of Union, Missouri, grand-daughter Elizabeth Jantti and her son Izaya Andrews and daughter Jazlyn Lewis of South St. Louis, Missouri, and grand-daughter Victoria Jantti of South St. Louis. Linda leaves many more loved family members behind.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Lorena Wymer and sister Susie Wymer.

Linda was a shop steward of the United Food and Commercial Workers Local 655 (UFCW 655) and worked at Shop & Save for over 30 years, which she retired from in 2010.

Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to all. She loved fishing, going to the lake, and working in her gardens. Her favorite thing in the world was having her family together. She loved her family more than words can describe. She will be deeply missed by the many people that love her.

A memorial service will be held at Bopp Chapel on Sunday, May 24 at 2:00 pm.
