Mr. Franse enjoyed music, biking and was a sports fan, particularly of the Boston Celtics. His family described him as a loving son and brother, a friend to all, and a caring and generous person.

Mr. Franse is survived by his parents, Kirt and Betty Franse; and brother, Kirt Jr., all of Anchorage. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
