He was preceded in death by his parents, Delos and Mary Agnes Creasey, 3 brothers, Don and Jim Cummings, Dennis Creasey, 3 sisters, Barbara “Susie” Creasey, Mary Starr and Virginia Kent.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at Lone Rock Community Building on Saturday, February 4, 2023 starting at 11:00 A.M. Per Bass’s wishes burial at sea will be held at a future date by the United States Navy.

She is survived by her children; Randy Meyer, Jeff Meyer (Anita Bartols), Robyn Meyer; grandson Danny Meyer (Kaylee Matthews); great granddaughter Kaia Avalon Meyer; step grandchildren Erin Campbell (Joshua Weishaar), Ian Campbell; step great grandchildren Calvin Weishaar and Imogene Campbell; siblings Vernon (Joyce) Knuth, Arlene Gregory, Jim (Kim) Knuth and many loving nieces and nephews as well as other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, mother and father in law, brother Rodney Knuth; nephew Kevin Knuth and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date at St. John's Lutheran Church.

After graduating from high school, he worked on the family farm until he started his construction company, BeaverTown Builders, in partnership with Ron Baumgarten. Jay prided himself on being meticulous in his craft, hardworking, and dependable. After the 2008 housing crisis, he continued to do finish carpentry work while maintaining the St. John’s Lutheran Church facilities.

Jay found solace as a member of Sacred Heart Church. Additionally, Jay was a member of the Jaycees until he aged out, was a long-time member of the Border Riders motorcycle club, and Knights of Columbus.

With a quick text to his adult children there was not a crossword puzzle he couldn’t solve. His other hobbies included enjoying time over the barbeque, mowing perfectly straight lines in his front yard, helping friends and family with woodworking and carpentry projects, and reading James Patterson novels.

Jay is survived by his children, Julia Peterson (Logan), Claire Peterson (Daniel), and Jonathan Peterson (Tayiah). Outside of his children, Jay is survived by his mother, Mildred; siblings: Daniel Peterson (Patricia), Jean Stittleburg (Patrick), Rebecca Krueger (James), Joseph Peterson, Kelli Nolden (Charles), and Matthew Peterson (Denise), along with many nieces, nephews and loved ones.

He was preceded in death by father, Harley, and sister, Sally Peterson.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Jay will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 18, 2023, with the Reverend Patrick Wendler, Pastor, and Pastor Beth Voigt co-officiating.

Francis hauled milk cans for the Rewey Creamery, worked at John Deere and then went farming for 35 years. He and Kathryn moved to Livingston and he still went to the farm to help the boys.

Francis is survived by his wife, Kathryn; six children, Kenny (Karen) Pluemer, Teresa (Tim) Wiederholt, Vickie (Leo Jr.) Straka, Connie (Kevin) Bickford, Kevin (Nicky) Pluemer, Patti (Jason) Robertson, twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Francis is further survived by three brothers; Delbert (Donna), Baldy (Bev), Norbert (Bonnie); four sisters; Dolores Nihles, Doris Stark, Marie (Norm) Kemnitzer, and Velma (Jerry) Grimes; three sisters-in-law, Ardis Kasper, Phyllis Pagenkopf and Marie Kratochwill and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and infant son, and brother Loel.

Funeral services will be at Noon, Friday, January 13, 2023 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville. Pastor Mary Ann Floerke will officiate. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Platteville. Visitation will be held from on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville.

Betty married John W. Clements in 1947, where they found a home they loved in the northern suburbs of Detroit, and lived there of over 50 years. They did not have children, but they shared their love with the children in their family and neighborhood. She spoke fondly of her beloved boxer Sparky. Betty worked for Conrail (Railroad) for many years and retired in the early 1980's. She enjoyed: family, Christmas, cooking, going to restaurants, family gatherings, dogs, and feeding birds and squirrels. Betty had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed sharing her love of laughter with family, friends, and neighbors.

Beloved wife of the late John Clements; daughter of the late George and Edna Roeser; sister of the late Kenneth Roeser; aunt of Lori Roeser, Kenneth Roeser Jr., Dale and Janet Clements, Gail Clements; sister-in-law of Marilyn Roeser and Betty F. Clements, along with many loving cousins and relatives. Betty was preceded in death by her nephew Kim Clements. The Funeral Service will be Saturday, December 29, 2012, at 11a.m. at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Road, Livonia. The visitation hours will be Friday, December 28, 2012, from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. as well as Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow at Pine Lake Cemetery, West Bloomfield.
