She is survived by her mother, Irene of Washington; children, Peter (Amy) Schmillen of Jacksonville, FL and Rebecca Schmillen of East Peoria; and siblings, Kathy Mullineaux of Creve Coeur and Jackie (Randy) Lambert of Fruitland Park, FL. She was preceded in death by her father.

Due to her compassion for others, Ruth knew at a very early age that she wanted to be a nurse. She started her nursing career at OSF St. Francis Hospital in Peoria, where she worked in the emergency room for 39 years. She also worked nine years at UnityPoint Methodist Hospital in the “First Call Program”.

She enjoyed reading, spending time with her family, and caring for her beloved dogs. She also enjoyed traveling.

A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00am Thursday, February 3, 2021, at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington. Visitation will be one-hour prior to service also at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memory Gardens in rural Morton.

Todd loved his job and four wheeling. He enjoyed cooking with his grill and smoker, even attempting to make lasagna this way. Todd also enjoyed playing bean bags, marbles, and board games. Above all, Todd was a proud dad to his two daughters, Alana and Ava.

Survivors include his parents, Pete and Doris Neis, Dickeyville; two daugthers, Alana Neis and Ava Neis, both of Platteville; two sisters, Lisa (Gerald) Franz, Madison, WI, and Gina (Duane) Brown, Bluff City, TN; and three brothers, Bill Neis, Platteville, Duane Neis, Lancaster, WI, and Lance (Kim) Neis, Cuba City.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Donna Lorraine Muir Thompson, on August 30th 2007. Donna was born the 4th of 7 children to Theodore and Ida McVeigh in Regina Saskatchewan. Donna is survived by her devoted husband of 38 years, Gerald Edwin Thompson, her two daughters from her first marriage, Paula Chisholm (Gerry), and Leslie Gauvreau; stepdaughters Trudy Shannon (Gary) and Lynn Thompson; six grandchildren, Stanley and Kevin Hunter, Cole and Courtenay Chisholm, and Aaron and Evan Gauvreau; and great-grandchildren Kyuff, Jacob and Hailey. She is also survived by her siblings, Charles McVeigh, Loretta Flammond, Wayne McVeigh, Meredith Sutherland, Valerie Inwards and Georgia McVeigh. Donna will be fondly remembered as the personification of the term "Domestic Goddess," a dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She delighted in entertaining her dinner parties were the stuff of legend, as was her talent in all things creative, whether it was sewing, ceramics, painting or decorating (the list goes on). She was a tremendously friendly and outgoing person. Her laugh and sense of humor will be profoundly missed by her family and legion of friends, both old and new. Donna and Jerry had a marriage which was a partnership in the truest sense, working together, enjoying life's rewards together, and weathering the inevitable storms together. Memorial Service will be held at Sands Funeral Chapel, 187 Trunk Road, Duncan, BC on Saturday, September 8th at 1:00 pm.

Shirley was born on August 2, 1938, on the family farm in Hazel Green, to Edward and Wilda (Lolwing) Splinter. She graduated from Hazel Green High School in 1956. Shirley was united in marriage to Charles Richardson on April 25, 1959, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Hazel Green. He preceded her in death on November 18, 2011.

From the age of 18, Shirley worked at the Hazel Green Hospital until its closing. She was an avid Wheel of Fortune watcher and a dedicated supporter of the Chicago Cubs. Her love for baseball was unmatched, and she spent many joyous afternoons watching games, always cheering for her favorite team. She also had a special bond with her brother, Donald, as they were Irish Twins. Shirley's cats, PK and Chewy, were her cherished companions. She was known for her devotion to her family and her church, which were the cornerstones of her life.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Jackie (Troy Brown) Richardson, Hazel Green; four siblings, Donald Splinter, Hazel Green, June Splinter Lynch Price and Mary (Jack) Lovell, both of Dubuque, IA, and Joyce (Wayne) Fowler, Cuba City, WI; and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; a sister-in-law, Donna Mae Splinter; and two brothers-in-law, James Lynch and Jerry Price.
