     MR. AND MRS. FRANK DARRENOUGUE. Mr. Frank DARRENOUGUE, son of John and Mary (LASSELLETTE) DARRENOUGUE, was born Jan. 21, 1861, in Estialisq, Lower Pyrenees, France. His father was born in Idois, France, in 1815, and went thence to Estialisq, where he lived and died, May 1903. His wife, whom he married in Estialisq was born near there about 1820, and died two miles from the place of her birth, in 1895. They had eight children, three of whom, Augusta and Max, besides our subject, came to reside in America. Frank D. came in the spring of 1878, arriving in Reedsburg, May 2. Immediately upon his arrival here he was taken into his bother Augusta's jewelry and barber establishment, and remained so engaged until the fall of 1882. At that time he purchased a similar establishment of the city from A. W. COUGHRAN (Oct. 23), which was in his present site of business. Since that date Mr. DARRENOUGUE has been in the jewelry business, in this place, and his is the oldest continuous business in the city today.
On May 2, 1888, he was married to Katherine BUELOW. This lady was born in Reedsburg, July 20, 1863, daughter of Edward and Bedelia (HOOBEN) BUELOW. Her father, a native of Pomaul, Germ., was born Feb. 28, 1830, son of Fredrick BUELOW. In 1851, in company with his father's family (the mother having passed on previously) he came to America, locating in Reedsburg, where he afterward resided . He was a prosperous farmer outside the city, and died at the ripe old age of 87, ____, 1917. His wife, who he married in 1856, was born March 29, 1840, in County Galway, Ireland, daughter of John and Margaret HOOBEN. The father died there, and in 1847 the mother brought her family to America, locating in the Sligo settlement in Dellona, where she shortly afterward died. Belelia grew up in Dellona, and resided there until her marriage. She died Dec. 29, 1890.
Our subjects have four children: Evan John, born Feb. 17, 1890, now of Chicago; Madeline, born Oct. 14, 1891 (now wife of Lunn H. FAVILLE, Galesville, Wis., she has two children, Ruth, born May 9, 1921, and Helen, born Sept. 15, 1926; Raymond, born Sept. 9, 1898, now of New York City; and Thomas F., born Feb. 2, 1905, now of Grand Rapids, Wis.
Frank D. Darrenougue immigrated on 2 May 1878.

Mr. D. came to America, and went immediately to Reedsburg, Wis., for three years, he worked on a farm, for one year at the jeweler's business, and for one year found employment on the railroad; in 1873, he began business as a barber in Reedsburg, and has added to his business a fine bath room, where steam and Russia vapor baths can be taken. July 23, 1874, Mr. D. married Miss Josephine Hess; the family consists of two children - Forest, born Nov. 28, 1875, and Leon, born March 16, 1877; Mr. D. is an adherent of the Roman Catholic Church.

Suvivors include her husband Henry; one son, Donald of North Freedom; three daughters, Mrs. Russell Hedgepeth (Inez) of Hastings, MN; Mrs. Delores Niemann, Baraboo; Mrs. Gilbert Priddy (Dorothy) of Baton Rouge, LA; 14 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Gustie Jaedike, Prairie du Sac; Mrs. Fred Brokow (Maggie), Mrs. Sophia Huebbe, Mrs. Rosella Vieth, all of Rock Springs; Mrs. Edward Basso (Huldena) of Milwaukee and other relatives and friends. She was proceeded in death by one sister and one brother. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 in St. John's Lutheran Church with Vicar Gerald Hintz officiating. Friends may call at the Redlin-Scheible Funeral Home Tuesday evening from 7 to 9. Burial will be made at the Walnut Hill Cemetery. 06/18/1972.

She was a long-time member of the Ladies Auxiliary and a regular at the Ladies Circle. She loved playing cards and getting together with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frederick; son, Carl; daughter, Irene Boyles; grandson, Ronald Boyles; great-grandson, Timothy Mellentine; brothers, Harold Steinhorst, Charlie Steinhorst and twin brothers in infancy; sisters, Augusta Jaedike, Rose Veith, Huldina Basso-Lindenberg, Sophie Huebbe, Ida Kiefer and Marie Hanusa; daughter-in-law, Dorothy Brockow; sons-in-law, Al Boyles, Sy Mellentine and Earl Schluter. She is survived by: her daughter, Eleanor Schluter of Rock Springs; grandchildren, Bill (Jean) Mellentine of Reedsburg, Patti Schaefer of Portage, Carole Buelow of Baraboo and Deb (Mitch) Smalley of Pardeeville; stepgrandsons, Dick (Vickie) Pinske of Texas, and Jim (Laurie) Myers Jr. of Reedsburg; seven great-grandchildren, Shane Buelow, Todd (Tracy) Buelow, Nathan Mellentine; Robin (Matt) Buelow Bonner, Christine Schaefer, Sean Smalley and Cody Smalley; three great-great-grandchildren, Rachel Bonner, Sara Bonner and Shadoe Mellentine; nieces, nephews, along with other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Margaret Brockow will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 24, 2001, at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rock Springs with the Rev. Paul Schroeder officiating. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery, Rock Springs. Friends may call on Friday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg and on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the church. The Farber Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
