Death was due to natural causes, according to the report of the county coroner, Dr. O. V. Pawlisch, who said no inquest would be held. Mr. Garske made his home with his sister, but returned to his old home on Clark Street during the day to tend his chickens. Mrs. Schulz became alarmed when she discovered on Sunday morning that her brother had not been home that night, and went in search of him. The funeral was held on Tuesday at 2 pm at the Gant funeral home, conducted by the Reverend F. H. Leschensky, pastor of St John's Lutheran Church. Burial was in St Peter's Lutheran Cemetery. Reedsburg Times Press Thursday, Dec 12, 1946.
