On April 22, 1948, he was united in marriage to the former LaVonne J. Getschman. Ken farmed and worked construction with his father and his son, Keith, for many years. He was a supervisor for the Town of Reedsburg for several years and was also a Pioneer seed salesman. Ken will be remembered as a very loving husband and father. He was an avid card player and fisherman. Survivors include his wife, LaVonne; three children: Linda (Larry) Williams, of Greenville; Kathleen Koenecke, of Baraboo and Keith (Tammy) Koenecke, of Reedsburg; his daughter-in-law: Sharon Koenecke, of Albany; eight grandchildren: Wendy (Bradd) Seegers, Richard (Erin) Williams, George (Melissa) Kalka, Kraig (Jenny) Kalka, Nathan (Jenni) Koenecke, Lucas (Amanda) Koenecke, Chad Koenecke and Kimberly (Justin) Walker; special family member: Tamara Koenecke; 15 great grandchildren; one step-great grandson; two sisters: Evelyn Skinner, of Reedsburg and Gloria Crawford, of Reedsburg; his sister-in-law: Wilma Koenecke, of Reedsburg; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his son: Lenny James Koenecke in 2008; his sister: LaVerne Phelan; his brother: James Koenecke; an infant sister: Ruby Koenecke and three brothers-in-law: Bill Skinner, Tom Crawford and Herbert Phelan. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at the Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated. The Hoof Funeral Home is serving the family.

He was born on July 30,1959, in Reedsburg, Wisconsin, the son of Kenneth and LaVonne (Getschman) Koenecke. On November 10, 1979, he was united in marriage to Sharon Walker at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Reedsburg. This marriage was blessed with two children. Lenny enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting and cutting wood. He was a great cook and would often brag about that. Len canned much of what he grew in his well-tended garden. He was a Packer and Steelers fan, and collected Packer and Steelers articles and sports items. Len coached 7th and 8th grade football at Sacred Heart School, and coached Little League and softball for several years. He was a very outgoing person and enjoyed socializing with others. Lenny will be remembered as always being happy. Above all, he cherished the time spent with his family.

He enjoyed his farmette and was a very good gardener. He enjoyed playing cards, carpentry work, hunting and fishing.
    He is survived by his wife, Helen of Reedsburg; his mother, Glee of Reedsburg; children, Linda (Gary) Bald of Darlington, James (Sue) Tourdot of Wisconsin Dells, Jon (Sonya) Tourdot of Belleville, Mark (Denise) Budurov of Reedsburg; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, Evan (Betty), Harland (Leslie), Leo (Donna), Gary (Marcia) and Larry Tourdot all of Reedsburg; sisters, Bonnie (Gale) Walker, Joy (Jim) Greenwood, Julie (Howard) Phillips all of Reedsburg, Gloria (Dennis) Birkholtz of Sun Prairie, Brenda (Dean) David of Baraboo; brothers and sisters-in-law; many nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Leo and a sister, Elaine. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, June 18, 2008, at 11 a.m. in the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg with Father Thomas Monaghan officiating. Burial will follow in Butterfield Cemetery with military graveside rites being accorded by the VFW Post 1916 of Reedsburg. Friends called on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Farber Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2005, with Pastor Ken Smith presiding. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11, 2005, and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.

Russell, son of Charles and Alta (Cushman) Bryan, was born on March 3, 1920 in the Sauk City area. He married Lillian Ella Schanke on June 11, 1940 at the Schanke family farm in Rock Springs. He was employed by Badger Ordnance for the last 25 years as a carpenter. Russell proudly served in WWII in Naval Aviation. He was a member of the local American Legion Post 26 and Badger Steam and Gas Club; as well as a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Baraboo. Russell greatly enjoyed making miniature hot air engines and was proud to display them at the Badger Steam and Gas Show. He was also a talented woodworker. He enjoyed traveling, and visited almost every state in the union. Russell was very close to his two granddaughters and loved spending time with his five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lillian in 2006; siblings, Lyle, Evan, Al, Hazel, Alma, Clara, Jean and Bea. Russell is survived by his son, Michael (Denise) Bryan of Baraboo; grandchildren, Lori (Conor) Smyth of Madison and Wendy (Jeff) McNabb of Baraboo; great-grandchildren, Lydia and Max McNabb, Sophia, Garrett and Eamon Smyth; sister, Glee Tourdot of Reedsburg; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 17 at 11 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Baraboo with Pastor Thomas Fricke officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Burial will follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery where military rites will be conducted. Redlin Funeral Home is assisting the family.
