Survivors: daughter, Jo Ann, of the home; brothers, William and Ralph; grandchildren, Jeremie, Aimee, and Joe; 13 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Services: 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory, St. Joseph. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory where friends may call after 3:00 p.m.
The Family suggests memorial gifts to the American Lung Association.
Mr. Violett will be cremated following the service under the direction of Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory, St. Joseph.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 26, 2005, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Yankton, with Rev. Jerome Ranek officiating assisted by Rev. Lawrence Marbach and Rev. John Fischer. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Yankton, SD. Visitation will be 4 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Kostel Funeral Home and Crematory, Yankton, with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. followed by a Scripture service at 7:30 p.m. The family will be present starting at 6:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Ray Marbach, Ron Marbach, Mark Marbach, Mike Marbach, Joe Marbach and Jim Ranek. Honorary pallbearers will be the Catholic Daughters and the Funeral Committee. Mae was born February 1, 1902, to Frank G. and Martha (Malquist) Cook in Bruce, SD, where she grew up and went to school. She attended Nettleton Business College and received training as a bookkeeper. She married Pat Schorzman in February 1928 in Sioux Falls and they lived in Yankton. Pat died after a brief illness. Mae worked as a waitress at Bob's Caf? for a short time and then began a long career as a bookkeeper. Throughout the next forty-two years, she was employed by Dodge DeSoto, Christopherson Motors, Ivan Tufty Dodge, Pfeiffer Chevrolet and O'Leary Chevrolet. On October 2, 1932, Mae married Ed Marbach and they spent their entire married life in Yankton. They were active members of Sacred Heart Parish, where for many years Mae was chairperson of the Funeral Committee. They also enjoyed taking trips and spending time with relatives and fiends. Ed died September 16, 1993. Mae was a member of the Catholic Daughters, Forresters, Women of the Moose, Royal Neighbors of America, Garden Club, United Commercial Travelers Auxiliary, Yes Yes Extension Club, Sacred Heart Hospital Auxiliary, Business and Professional Women and belonged to numerous card clubs. She volunteered at the Human Services Center, Red Cross and Yankton Senior Citizens and served on its board of directors. For the past three years, Mae has lived at Pine Lane Assisted Living. Mae is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, both of her husbands, two sisters and four brothers.
