Mrs. Braley died Nov. 12, 1994, at the Crook County Nursing Home in Sundance.

On Jan. 26, 1913, in Belmont, Neb., Marian was born to Ray G. and Ruby (McCoy) Hamaker. In her early years, she lived at the Redbird Store area until she was three, then the family moved to Van Tassell. In 1921, the family moved to the Bill Hoyt ranch in Niobrara County. Marian graduated from the Sioux County High School in Harrison, Neb., in 1931.

She was married to Vere Braley and they lived in Sheridan and the later years living in Sundance. Mr. Braley died in 1974.

Mrs. Braley was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two sisters, Leona in 1941, and Alice in 1974.

Survivors include one niece, Mrs. Dixie Comatzer, of North Carolina, and one nephew, Rex Gray of Maryland.

For those who wish, the family would appreciate memorials to either the Crook County Nursing Home or Sundance Senior Citizens Center.

Braley, 67, of Dayton, Wyo., died July 1 at Sheridan Hospital.

He was born February 16, 1907, in Terry, Mont., and as a young man was a bronc rider on the professional rodeo circuit and known as "Powder River Slim". He retired from rodeo in 1930 and made his home in Mississippi.

In 1946 he moved to Utah and worked as a carpenter. He also lived in Colorado, Montana and California and in 1960 moved to Sundance, Wyo. He became ill, retired and moved to Dayton in 1972.

He married Marion Hamaker February 28, 1953 in Forsyth, Mont. She survives him, and their son, Duane lives in Minneapolis where he works for the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. He is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Hal (Bernice) Haun, Pico Rivera, Calif., and Mrs. Dick (Kathleen) Crossby, Owatonna, Minn; a brother Glen of Miles City, Mont; two grandchildren and a nephew, Jim, of Sheridan.

Burial will be at Geddes.

The daughter of Helmer Paulson and Anna Erickson Paulson, she was born Nov. 20, 1919, in Centerville, S.D. She married Lester R. Fickbohm on June 20, 1945, in Sioux City, Iowa.
She graduated from high school in Centerville, S.D.
Mrs. Fickbohm worked as a telephone operator and in different administrative positions for 37 years for Bell Systems.
She lived in Boulder from 1997 to 2000, when she moved to Louisville.
Mrs. Fickbohm was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church.
"She was an optimistic person who always had a smile and a kind word for everyone she encountered," her family said.
Survivors include a son, Greg Fickbohm of Louisville; three sisters, Marie Wiberg of Alcester, S.D., Sally Pierce of Tuscon, Ariz., and Esther Mollner of Burbank, Calif; a grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; four brothers, Bob Paulson, Cliff Paulson, Harold Paulson and Paul Paulson; and three sisters, Jo Moberg, Hazel Ludens and Edie Morgan.
A memorial servicewill be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Balfour Retirement Community of Boulder County, 1855 Plaza Drive, Louisville. Interment will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd., Denver.

Burial will follow in Ahlsborg Cemetery, rural Spink, South Dakota. Visitations will be after 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2008, with the family present after 6:00 p.m., and a Prayer service at 7:00 p.m., all at the church. Visitation will resume 1 hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church. The Carlsen Funeral Home – Schroeder Chapel in Akron is in charge of arrangements. Marie Wiberg was born April 16, 1912 on the family farm in Lincoln county, South Dakota, the daughter of Helmer and Anna (Erickson) Paulson. She attended country school in Lincoln county, South Dakota. Later, she worked in a café in Centerville, South Dakota.

She was united in marriage to Herbert Wiberg on October 15, 1936 in Canton, South Dakota. The couple farmed north of Spink in Union county, South Dakota. Marie was a homemaker for her family. After Herbert’s death in 1969, she moved to Alcester. She was a caregiver for many children for over 20 years. For the past year and half, she has been a resident of Morningside Manor in Alcester.

Marie was a former member of Alsburg Lutheran Church, where she was a Sunday school superintendant and teacher. After moving to Alcester, she became a member of Nathanael Lutheran Church. While attending both churches, she was active in Ladies aide and circle. She enjoyed helping her children when they were young with their 4-H projects. One of her favorite pastimes was watching her children and grandchildren in all of their activities. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, playing cards, and playing the piano. She enjoyed cooking and making divinity candy for her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her daughter, Lois Anderson and her husband Bob of Volin, SD; a daughter-in-law: Lyna Wiberg of Alcester, SD; 7 grandchildren: Rhonda Eckert of Wakonda, SD, Terry Anderson and his wife Annie of Sturgis, SD, Darcy Nagel and her husband Dennis of Rapid City, SD, Shawn Anderson and his wife Jennifer of Gayville, SD, Daniel Wiberg of Alcester, SD, Paula Wiberg of Alcester, SD, and Amy Schlueter and her husband Wade of Alcester, SD; 7 great-grandchildren: Jacob, Zachary, and Dagny Anderson, Zane, Chance, Scout, and Sage Anderson; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herbert; a son: Donald Wiberg; 6 sisters: Josie Moberg, Hazel Ludens, Mabel Fickbohm, Edith Morgan, Esther Mollner, and Sally Pierce; 3 brothers: Paul, Clifford, Robert, and Harold; and 4 great-grandchildren: Allyson, Austin, Cole, and Carli Eckert.

Casket bearers will be her grandchildren. Honorary Casket bearers will be her great-grandchildren.
