She was married to John Fedde. July 21, 1877. She moved to Jewell county, Kansas in 1879 where she resided until her death. Her husband died October 2, 1917. To this union five children were born, four boys and one girl, all of whom survive her: J.E., B.H. and Emma R. of Ionia, Kansas; Geo. H. of Holly, Colo., and A.C. of Jewell City, Kansas. Besides her children she is survived by one brother, John Awe, of Santa Ana, Calif., ten grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. She united with the German Lutheran church at the age of 14 years. She always led a quiet home life and during her last years spent many hours reading her bible, which she read through several times.2

The family moved to Holly, Colorado in 1915 and settled on a farm. After living at Holly for twenty years, the family came to Sargent and in 1936 to the Twin Mountain area west of Del Norte.
Mr. Fedde farmed and engaged in livestock. He worked for Frank Lohr and Ross Davie, Sr. and later clerked in the Gamble Store in Del Norte. Mrs. Fedde died in 1942 and in 1946 he and Mrs. Alice Graham were married. Mrs. Graham Fedde died in 1954. Mr. Fedde was a member of the Christian Church.
Surviving are his four children, son, Lloyd, Montrose; three daughters, Thelma Turner, Ceres, California; Enola Herron, Paonia; and Clara Robertson of Ensign, Kansas; 29 grandchildren; one brother; and one sister. Two brothers are deceased.
