She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lawrence in 2010; sister, LaVera Krueger; and brother, Ernest Schenck.

Graveside services were held Friday, January 4, 2013 at Macon County Memorial Park with military rites by Macon County Honor Guard. Harold proudly served his country in World War II. He joined the army in March of 1942. He spent a total of 28 months overseas in Africa, Indonesia, Italy, and the Yugoslavian border. While in Italy he was shot and wounded. He lay outside his foxhole for an entire day and night before being taken to a hospital. For his service he received a purple heart. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and the DAV and a past president of Eagles Lodge 3511 in Decatur. Surviving are his wife, daughter, Charlene (Alden) Chandler of Decatur, four grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sons, Gary Reimer (April 30, 2002) and Billy Reimer (April 18, 2006) both of Decatur.
