Death24 March 1935Gunder J. (Senior) Lund died on 24 March 1935 at Lac Qui Parle, Minnesota, at age 78 Gunder J. Lund, Sr., for 57 years a resident of Lake Shore township, Lac Qui Parle county, [Minnesota], passed away at his home Sunday [March 24, 1935] from infirmities due to old age.

Mr. Lund was born October 1st, 1856, in Stjordalen, near Throndhjem, Norway, and would have been 79 years old had he lived to another birthday.

He came to America with his parents when eight years old, settling in Goodhue county, Minnesota, where they lived a few years, moving to Elk Point, South Dakota. When he was 22 years old, in 1878, he came to this county [Lac Qui Parle] and homesteaded the farm on which he has since lived and where he died. Mr. and Mrs. Lund celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in February, 1933.
