She lived in the Menominee area all of her life and helped her husband farm. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Christian Mothers and
    the Ladies Guild. She is survived by seven children and their spouses, Mardell and Alan
    Fleer, Houston, Texas; Mary Haberman, Menominee; Karen and Claude Sudbeck, Hartington; Duane and Sara Haberman, Menominee; Kathleen and Tom Sedlacek Sr., Tabor, S.D; Bernice and Brad Lubbers, Omaha; and Keith Haberman, Menominee; 17 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Verna Schmidt, Crofton; Marian Heine, St. Helena; and Kathleen Bruening, Yankton, S.D; and two brothers, Dellano Hoesing, Menominee; and Arland Hoesing, Loveland, Colo.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Haberman Sr; one son, Alfred Haberman Jr., one ddaughter, Janet Lubbers; one sister, Del Ray, and one infant brother, Donavon.

    On June 15, 1954, he married Rita Havermann in Nebraska. She died in 1995.

    Mr. Hoesing graduated from Auctioneering School in 1954, in Iowa. He farmed in Nebraska and moved to Colorado in 1982 to work as a cattle manager for Farr Feeders. He retired in 1995.

    He was married to his wife, Elizabeth, for 41 years until her death. On March 4, 2002, he married Judith Ann Lukenbach in Longmont.

    He loved working with quarter horses and enjoyed camping and fishing.

    Survivors are his wife, Judith Hoesing of Longmont; four daughters, Ramona Smith of Colorado and Bridget Bevers, Valerie Hoesing and Michelle Hoesing, all of California; two sons, Gregg Hoesing of California and Jason Hoesing of Illinois; and five grandchildren. A son, Warren Hoesing, and his parents are deceased.

    Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church.

    Inurnment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

    Stoddard Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

    Mary was born May 26, 1933, in Menominee to Henry and Theresa (Bruns) Schaefer. She grew up and lived in the Menominee area all her life.
    She attended eight years of elementary education at Menominee and graduated from Mount Marty High School. She married Dellano Hoesing April 24, 1956, at St. Boniface with the Rev. Zilli officiating.

    Mary belonged to the Christian Mothers and the Ladies Guild. She is survived by her husband, Dellano, Menominee, eight children:
    Della Marie (Dan) Haas, Tabor, S.D; Hubert (Deb) Hoesing, Yankton, S.D; Karl (Lori) Hoesing, Rapid City, S.D; Darrell (Linda) Hoesing, Gayville, S.D; Lyle (Linda) Hoesing, Tabor, S.D; John Hoesing, Beatrice; Sharon (Mark) Thorson, Rapid City, S.D; and Curtis Hoesing, Pullman, Wash; 17 grandchildren; two sisters, Rita (Wilfred) Zavadil, Menominee, and Mildred Schroeder, Menominee: two brothers, Sylvester (Evelyn) Schaefer, Yankton, S.D; Harold (Helen) Schaefer, Yankton, S.D; and one sister-in-law, Fern Schaefer, Yankton, S.D.

    She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Ralph Schaefer; and two sisters, Sister Maxine and Theresa Schaefer.

She was a registered optician in the state of Texas for many years. Mardi was well-known throughout the Houston area for her kind and helpful attitude toward those with vision problems. She worked with teens and preteens during the summer months. Survivors include her husband, Alan, Houston, Texas; children: Laura, Dickinson, Texas, and Michael, Houston, Texas; brothers and their wives: Duane and Sara Haberman, Menominee, and Keith and Brenda Haberman, Menominee; sisters and their husbands: Karen and Claude Sudbeck, Hartington, Neb., Kathleen and Tom Sedlacek, Tabor, S.D., and Berenice and Brad Lubbers, Omaha, Neb; a sister-in-law, Mary Haberman, Menominee; and many nieces and nephews. Burial will be at St. Michael's Cemetery in Hartington with military honors provided by the Hartington VFW Post 5283. Visitation will be on Sunday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm with a rosary at 4:30 pm and a vigil service at 7:00 pm at the church under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home in Hartington.

    Pallbearers will be Matt Sudbeck, Roger Sudbeck, Darrell Uhing, Melvin Sudbeck, Tom Sedlacek Jr., Jerad Haberman, Jim Kostel, and Shannon Herrboldt. Honorary pallbearers will be the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus.

    Claude was born on March 27, 1940 at Bow Valley to Arthur and Rose (Burbach) Sudbeck. He grew up in the Bow Valley area and graduated from Holy Trinity High School in 1958. He graduated from Aeronautics School in Kansas City in 1960. He served in the U. S. Army from 1963 to 1965, stationed in Germany. Claude married Karen Haberman on April 24, 1965 in Menominee, NE. He received his real estate license in 1967 and was an active real estate broker until his death. Claude and Karen also owned and operated the Hillcrest Motel since 1985 with locations in Plainview and Hartington.

    Claude was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, and the Hartington Chamber of Commerce. He was a very kind, generous and loving man. He accepted his illness with dignity. His family was the center of his life.

    Claude is survived by his wife, Karen, of Hartington, 3 daughters and their spouses; Cheryl and Rick Pesek of Omaha, Jodi and Tim Potts of Omaha, Kari and Rick Pruett of Sioux City, Iowa, 8 grandchildren; Ricky, Olivia, and Nathan Pesek, Jacob, Caden, and Morgan Potts, Elen and Reid Pruett, 3 sisters; Dolores Ann and Merlin Hochstein of Wynot, Mary Jean and Jerry Uhing of Omaha, Sharon and Jerry Schmidt of Ft. Collins, CO, 5 brothers; Don and Gloria Sudbeck of Omaha, Clair and Deanna Sudbeck of Yankton, Lloyd and Janice Sudbeck of Bow Valley, Dave Sudbeck of Hartington, Kevin and Jaci Sudbeck of Hartington, and a sister in law, JeAnn Sudbeck of Omaha.
