Donna M. Heimes was born January 12, 1959, in Crofton, NE to Damian and Helena Arens. She attended school in Bow Valley and Wynot, NE. She married Daniel A. Heimes on July 31, 1977 in Bow Valley, NE where they farmed side by side and raised their children. Donna worked outside the home at Dale Electronics, Golden Living Center, Pine Dale Assisted Living, Pizza Hut, Hartington Telemarketing until she was disabled in 2007.

Donna enjoyed working on her flowers & gardening in her raised flower beds, playing cards, watching birds, camping, going for a drive and spending time with family.

Donna is survived by her husband Danny of Hartington; three children: Jennifer (Tom) Kobza of Billings, MT; Jessica (Matt) Peddie of Shawnee, KS; Jonathan Heimes (Tyler Olsen) of Yankton, SD; mother Helen Arens of Hartington, sister Joan Arens of Omaha, NE; sister-in-law Mary Lynn Arens of Bow Valley, NE; brother-in-law Greg Johnson of Verdigre, NE; brother-in-law Danny Thoene, brother-in-law LaVerle Heimes of Hartington, NE, sister-in-law Connie (Alan) Folkers of Hartington, NE; Sheila (Allen) Loecker of Mitchell, SD; Kathy (Clair) Rupiper of Fordyce, NE, Jeanne (Lyle) Burbach of Springfield, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Norma Jean Thoene was born on March 9, 1960 in Crofton, Nebraska to Damian Dennis and Helen E. (Pavelka) Arens. She grew up in the Bow Valley, NE area and graduated from Wynot High School in 1978. Norma worked at M-Tron Industries in Yankton and then married Dan Francis Thoene on June 16, 1979 in Bow Valley. Norma did child care in her home and then worked for Gurney's Seed & Nursery in Yankton. Norma also worked at Hardee's, the Sunshine Restaurant in the grocery store, and Yesterday's Cafe. She continued working at Yesterday's Cafe until five years ago when her health prevented her from working.

Norma Jean liked cooking, canning, gardening, and word searches. She enjoyed visiting with the public and also with her family. Norma loved her "Little House on the Prairie" in Fordyce.

Norma is survived by her husband Dan of Fordyce; son Bryan & wife Jonelle Thoene of Fordyce and their son Marcus "MJ"; daughter Brenda Thoene of Elkhorn, NE; mother Helen Arens of Hartington, two sisters Donna & Danny Heimes of Hartington, and Joan Arens of Frisco, TX; sister-in-law May Lynn Arens; brother-in-law Greg Johnson of Verdigre, NE; numerous nieces and nephews.

Ronald Charles Arens was born on October 14, 1965 in Yankton, SD to Damian D. and Helen E. (Pavelka) Arens. He grew up in the Bow Valley area and graduated from Wynot High School in 1984. After high school Ron helped his father on the farm. He then worked for many years at the Hartington Cheese Plant until his health prevented him from working. Ron had been a resident of Park View Haven Nursing Home in Coleridge for almost six years.

Ron loved farming, playing cards, tractor pulls, board games and loved his nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Ron is survived by his mother Helen Arens of Hartington; five siblings and spouses Donna and Danny Heimes of Hartington, Norma and Dan Thoene of Fordyce, Bette Hamilton of Crofton, Roger Arens of Hartington, and Joan Arens of Frisco, TX; brother-in-law Greg Johnson of Verdigre, NE; sister-in-law Mary Lynn Arens of Hartington.

He was preceded in death by his father Damian Arens; a sister Delores Johnson; and a brother Charles A. Arens on 2/2/2016; niece Heather Heimes; nephew Christopher Heimes; and great niece Janet Eckmann.

Roger Ronald Arens was born on October 14, 1966 in Yankton, SD to Damian Dennis and Helen E. (Pavelka) Arens. He was the seventh of eight children. He grew up in the Bow Valley area and graduated from Wynot High School in 1985. After graduating, Roger worked at Shurco and Northern Extrusions in Yankton, SD. He also worked at McDonald's and Hardee's in Yankton.

Roger loved playing cards, Blackjack, Rummy and going to the Fordyce Casino night. He enjoyed participating in county tractor pulls and attending national tractor pulls. Roger liked board games, farming, and talking to people at his restaurant jobs.

He is survived by his mother, Helen of Hartington; three sisters and their spouses Donna & Danny Heimes of Hartington, Norma and Dan Thoene of Fordyce, Joan Arens of Frisco, TX; sister-in-law Mary Lynn Arens of Hartington; brother-in-law Greg Johnson of Verdigre.

Roger was preceded in death by his father Damian; sister Delores Johnson; brother Chuck A. Arens on 2/2/16, brother Ronald C. Arens on 2/15/16; and sister Bette Hamilton on 3/24/16; nephew Christopher J. Heimes; niece Heather Heimes; and great niece Janet Eckmann.

After their marriage, they moved to a farm four and one half miles north of Crofton where he farmed his entire life. He also worked construction at Gavins Point Dam and as a laborer for the Corp of Engineers from 1955-1957. He enjoyed playing cards, dancing, fishing, hunting, farming and spending time with his entire family. Gerald was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and a former Frankfort Township board member. Lucille Olivia Arens was born on November 9, 1935 in Constance, NE to Joseph G. and Christina E. (Guenther) Schieffer. She grew up in Constance where she was baptized, received First Holy Communion, and was confirmed. She graduated from Holy Trinity High School in Hartington, NE. Lucille married Gerald Rudolph Arens on January 25, 1955 in Constance. They lived and farmed 4 ½ miles north of Crofton. Gerald died on March 11, 2005 at the age of 74 years.

Lucille belonged to St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and its guild, Christian Mothers, Frankfort Progressive Club and worked on the election board for 45 years. She prayed the rosary at the Beaver Creek cemetery for 9 weeks on Monday nights in the summer for favorable weather and the people buried there. Lucille liked to do anything with her hands, sewing, cooking, baking, crafts, gardening etc. She wasn't afraid to run any of the farm machinery through the years.

She is survived by her eight children and spouses, David A. & Ann Arens of Crofton, Marie & Kevin Guenther of Owasso, OK, Tony Arens of Crofton and friend Rhonda Hofer, Jolene & Jeff Steffen of Crofton, Dan & Lorraine Arens of Crofton, Marge & Kevin Kneifl of Lincoln, NE, Gary & Joselyn Arens of Crofton, Janice & Tom Johnston of Sioux City, IA; 20 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; two sisters Jeanette Wieseler of St. Helena, NE, Angela Mueller of Crofton; sister-in-law Rosemary Schieffer of Riverton, WY.

Kenny was born on April 5, 1942 at Bow Valley, Nebraska to Edwin and Loretta (Arens) Pick. He grew up in the Bow Valley area and graduated from Holy Trinity High School in 1961. He served in the National Guard from1961 to 1967. He married Charlotte Wiebelhaus on November 14, 1964 at Fordyce, Nebraska. They made their home on a farm east of Hartington where Kenny farmed until his death and also operated the tank wagon for Farmers Union Oil Company in Hartington from 1961 to 1988. He belonged to the Holy Trinity Catholic Church and enjoyed playing cards, driving his 4 wheeler and checking on his cattle.

Kenny is survived by his wife, Charlotte of Hartington; 5 children and their spouses, Tim and Kathy Pick of Hartington; Dixie and Marc Fischer of Hartington; Tom and Jennifer Pick of Columbus, Nebraska; Dean and Angela Pick of Hartington; Darin and Lisa Pick of Hartington; 15 grandchildren, his mother, Loretta Pick of Bow Valley; 2 sisters and 4 brothers.

He was preceded in death by his father and a grandson Cody Pick.

Judith Theresa Marie Hoesing was born on March 12, 1949, at rural Crofton to Roman Alphonse and Rosella J. (Arens) Kramer. She grew up on a farm southwest of Crofton and attended St. Rose of Lima Catholic Grade School in Crofton. She graduated from Crofton High School in 1967 and then attended Wayne State College in Wayne.
Judy was married to Duane J. Hoesing on Nov. 28, 1970, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Crofton. She and Duane farmed in the Menominee area, moving to their home west of Menominee in 1980.
Judy was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and the Ladies Guild. She was active in her parish, school and archdiocesan work, serving on numerous boards and committees. She was the St. Boniface sacristan for many years and was a member of the Christian Mothers. Judy helped on the farm and loved taking care of the yard, canning and tending to her garden and flowers. She was very artistic, a wonderful seamstress, and she often assisted in decorating the church.
Judy is survived by her husband, Duane of Menominee; three sons, Father Paul Hoesing of Omaha, Matthew and Lacey Hoesing of Norfolk and their children, Triston, Hannah and Levi, Jon Hoesing of Menominee; five brothers, Ron and Janet Kramer of Pierce, Dave and Marilyn Kramer of Crofton, Marcel and Sheila Kramer of Crofton, Kim and Jean Kramer of Fircrest, Wash., Steve and Arlene Kramer of Omaha; two sisters, Ruth and Dennis Schulte of Lincoln, DiAnn and Gordon "Butch" Bird of Lakeville, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roman and Rosella Kramer; parents-in-law Francis and Grace Hoesing; and a nephew, Kurt Hoesing.
Pallbearers will be Todd Kramer, Chad Kramer, Jared Kramer, Jerod Hoesing, Seth Bird and Joel Schulte.
