He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and brother-in-law, Paul Halvensleben. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2004, in the NEWARK Cemetery . Although he retired in 1999, he continued to work for the Town part-time. Bill enjoyed woodworking and collecting old telephones and insulators. He is survived by his wife, Avonda Giese, Baraboo; his basset hound, Dylan; three brothers, Robert and David Giese, both of Loganville, and Dennis Giese, Prairie du Sac; a niece, Terri Molitor; a great-nephew, Dylan Molitor; aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, Aug. 7, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Baraboo with Pastors Deb and Steve Ohrtman officiating. Friends may call today, Wednesday, from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Burial will be in the Rock Hill Cemetery. The Redlin Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

He was very proud to have farmed with his daughter, Terri, for the last thirty-fours and for the last twenty with his grandson, Dylan. Bob enjoyed fixing things around the farm, tinkering with electric motors and plowing with his Allis – Chalmers 190. He also enjoyed watching many of the old comedy shows on the television most especially Hogan’s Heroes.

Survivors include his daughter: Terri Molitor, of Loganville; his grandson: Dylan Molitor; one brother: Dennis Giese, of Prairie du Sac; two sisters-in-law: Avonda Giese and Barbara Folstad; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine, on April 21, 1985; an infant daughter; and two brothers: William and David.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. on Monday, March 22, 2021 at the Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg with Pastor Donald Glanzer officiating. Interment will be in St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery in Loganville. There will be a visitation after 1:30 P.M. on Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.

He was born in Reedsburg Nov. 20, 1945, to Theodore and Irma Leigh Jaquish.

He graduated from Weston High School and received a bachelor of science degree in agronomy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Bill married the love of his life, LaNell Zech, on Aug. 17, 1968. Shortly after, he was drafted by the U.S. Marine Corps.

Upon his release from the USMC, he began farming near Sauk City with his father-in-law and became a partner at Sunny Slopes Farm Ltd. He operated the farm until his death, joined by his son, Rhett. He truly loved farming and the constant changes and challenges it offered as he and his family enlarged the dairy operation.

Constantly trying to make his community better for those around him, Bill was active in many ways. He served in several roles as a member of the Black Hawk United Methodist Church. He served on state and national Farm Bureau committees as a young farmer and later as Sauk County president. The Sauk Prairie School Board occupied more than 20 years of his life, many as board president. He cared deeply about Troy Township, serving as town chairman and later as its certified assessor for 27 years.

After being active in 4-H as a young man, he went on to become a leader in the Happy Hustlers 4-H club.

Besides his wife, LaNell, Bill is survived by their four children, NaTanya (Kurt) Olson of Forbes, N.D., Jada (Jonathon) Hooks of Blue Mounds, Shalome (Brian) Ullmann of Otsego, Minn., and Rhett (Erin) Jaquish of Sauk City. He was also blessed by his grandchildren, Teagan, Evan, Marsika Olson, Katelyn and Megan Ullmann and baby Hooks. He is further survived by his father, Theodore Jaquish; father-in-law, Lawrence Zech; sisters, Mary (Roger) Thibault of Bowling Green, Ohio and Barb (Bill) Klang of Reedsburg; brother, Reg (Pat) Jaquish of Reedsburg; brother-in-law, Terry (Gayla) Zech of Shoshone, Idaho; honorary son, Mark Ladsten of Prairie du Sac; and many other relatives and friends.

His mother, Irma Jaquish, and mother-in-law, Marie Zech, preceded him in death.

A celebration of Bill's life was held Tuesday at the Black Hawk Bethlehem United Methodist Church in Sauk City. Visitation was held at Hooverson Funeral Home in Sauk City on Monday.

Theodore (Ted), son of Harry and Clara (Gonsolin) Jaquish, was born on a farm just south of Lime Ridge, Wisconsin on September 7, 1918. He married Irma Leigh on August 8, 1943, and they were blessed with four children.

As a young man Ted worked for the Hillpoint Creamery and in 1944, he and his wife took over the family farm located between Hillpoint and Lime Ridge. He was involved in 4-H as a child and later Ted and Irma helped start the South Lime Ridge 4-H Club and were leaders for 16 years. As an active member of the Methodist Church, he enjoyed singing in the church choir and was often the Lime Ridge Lay Member of the Wisconsin Annual Conference. Ted enjoyed performing with various community barbershop groups. For many summers, the Jaquishes hosted families as part of the “Farm Vacation” program. Ted and Irma enjoyed travel, visiting most of the 50 states including Alaska and Hawaii. After he retired from farming, he and Irma moved to Hillpoint and then later to Reedsburg. In 2002, they moved to Our House Assisting Living in Baraboo and recently, Ted moved to the Sauk County Health Care Center in Reedsburg. The family is grateful to the staff at both facilities for providing a loving home atmosphere and exceptional care.

He is survived by his children: Mary (Roger) Thibault of Bradenton, FL, Reggie (Pat) Jaquish and Barb (Bill) Klang of Reedsburg; daughter-in-law, LaNell Jaquish, of Sauk City; sisters: Rosalie Meyer of Loganville, Annabelle Leigh of Oshkosh, and Barb Fosnow of Sun Prairie. He loved watching his grandchildren grow into young adults: NaTanya Olson, Jada Hooks, Shalome Ullmann, Rhett Jaquish, Andrea Jaquish, Julie Waineo, and Jeremy Klang; and took great pride in his six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Irma; son, Bill; sisters: Betty Hineman and Alice Krinke; and grandson-in-law, Kurt Olson.

The funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, December 18, 2011,at the United Methodist Church, Reedsburg, with Pastor Marvin Singh officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 12:30 until the time of the service at the church. Interment at the Lime Ridge Cemetery will be followed by a luncheon at the church for friends and family. Memorials may be made to the Reedsburg United Methodist Church. Farber Funeral Home of Reedsburg is handling the arrangements.

He went on to partner with his father on the family farm in Hillpoint, WI. Later in life, he found his professional passion in land surveying, having earned another degree at MATC. He then started his own surveying practice, was a member of the Wisconsin Society of Land Surveyors, as well as a member and past president of the Madison Area Surveyors’ Council. Reggie was a very active member of the Reedsburg United Methodist Church, where he sang in the choir and helped initiate the church’s Hispanic Ministry. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Bill.

Survivors include, 11 children, Don (Pat) of Loganville, Mary (Tom) Lamp of DeForest, Stan (Terry) of Avoca, Harlan (Diane) of Waunakee, Patti (Ken) Ruda of LaCrosse, Gene (Tammy) of DeForest, Rose (Bob) Jeffers of DeForest, sister-in-law Lucinda Yanke Erbs, Janet (Mark) Gilliland of Plover, Anne (Jim) Kowaleck of Massachusetts, Marilyn (Jeff) Stieve of Mequon, Paul (Ann) of Loganville, 24 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 7 siblings, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Mary Liegel, her husband, Harley Yanke, a daughter, Joyce Yanke, 2 sons, Thomas and Robert Yanke, a granddaughter, Alicia Yanke and 6 siblings. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Plain, WI. Fr. Mike Resop will officiate with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of Mass. Memorials may be made to St. Luke’s School Endowment Fund or to a charity of choice. The Richardson-Stafford Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Mr. Yanke was born on Jan. 9, 1960 in Richland Center, the son of Harley and Irene (Liegel) Yanke. On Aug. 8, 1981 he was united in marriage to the former Lucinda M. Wiese.

Mr. Yanke was a lifelong farmer in the Township of Franklin. His greatest joy and love was spending time with his wife and two children. He enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing, taking rides on his Harley Davidson motorcycle and just being outdoors. He also enjoyed collecting toy tractors. He was proud to have had the opportunity to take the hunting trip of a lifetime to the Ukraine in October 2009.

Mr. Yanke is survived by his wife, Lucinda; his son, Nicholas Yanke; his mother, Irene Yanke, of Plain; 11 brothers and sisters, Don (Pat) Yanke, of Loganville, Mary (Tom) Lamp, of DeForest, Stan (Terri) Yanke, of Avoca, Harlan (Diane) Yanke, of Waunakee, Patty (Ken) Ruda, of LaCrosse, Gene Yanke, of DeForest, Rose (Bob) Jeffers, of DeForest, Janet (Mark) Gilliland, of Plover, Ann (Jim) Kowaleck, of Massachuetts, Marilyn (Jeff) Stieve, of Thiensville and Paul (Ann) Yanke, of Loganville; his father and mother-in-law, Lester and Lerna Mae Wiese, of Loganville; his brother-in-law, Larry (Linda) Wiese, of Loganville; his sister-in-law, Laurie (Larry) Ahrensmeyer, of Baraboo; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Alicia, on Aug. 12, 2007; his father, Harley Yanke; one sister, Joyce Yanke and one brother, Tom Yanke.

Funeral services were June 14 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Loganville with Pastor Christopher Miller officiating. Interment was in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, rural Rock Springs, Township of Westfield.

In lieu of flowers, memorials toward an education fund for his son, Nicholas, would be appreciated.

He was born on June 24, 1932 in the Town of Westfield, Sauk County, the son of Edward and Ruth (Rose) Wiese. Lester was a 1950 graduate of Reedsburg High School. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving with the U.S. Army. On October 21, 1961, he was married to the former Lerna Mae Schulte. Lester was a lifelong farmer in the Town of Westfield and a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Stone Church. He was a fifty year board member of the Zion Lutheran Cemetery Association. Lester served as chairman of the Westfield Town Board, a member of the Sauk County Board of Supervisors and also served as president of the Loganville Village Board. He was a lifelong member of the Hillpoint VFW Post 3434. Survivors include his wife: Lerna Mae; three children: Lucinda (Larry) Erbs, of Elroy; Larry (Linda) Wiese, of Loganville and Laurie (Larry) Ahrensmeyer, of Baraboo; two grandchildren: Nicholas Yanke, and his fiance, Lucia Sanchez, and Allison Ahrensmeyer; four step-grandchildren: Emily, Travis, Nathan and Jacob Erbs; his sister-in-law: Phyllis Schenck, of Reedsburg; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter: Alicia Yanke; his son-in-law: Robert Yanke; two sisters: Valera Schuck and Rosemond Lichte; and one brother: Edmund Wiese. A private family graveside will be held in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, rural Rock Springs. A visitation and memorial service will be held at a later date.
