Eleanor was born on February 17, 1921 in Ravinia, South Dakota to Amiel T. and Ethyl (Corrigan) Uecker. She attended school in Charles Mix County and graduated from Ravinia High School in 1939. Her family moved to Clay County in 1941 and settled near Beresford, SD. It was near there that she met her future husband. Eleanor married Merle Offerdahl at the Roseni Parsonage on November 1, 1941. Two children were born from this Union: Robert M. Offerdahl and Joyce A. Zimmer.
Eleanor attended Springfield Normal Teacher"s College for one year to earn her teaching certificate thus began a career that would span 41 years. She taught in country schools in Clay and Union Counties for 17 years. She then went back to school to earn a certificate to teach Special Education. She taught Special Education in Vermillion School District for 17 years. She finished her career by teaching second grade for seven years. Eleanor led a very active and involved life. She loved to dance, play cards and dominoes, travel, read, camp, eat out, do craft work and spend time with her family and friends. She and Merle traveled to every state in the union, camped in much of Canada and made two trips to Europe. Along with that, she was very active in many local and state organizations, including: Alpha Lambda Chapter of ESA (49 year member), Delta Kappa Gamma, Retired Teachers Association, SDEA/NEA Life member, the Senior Citizen"s Center, Hospital Auxiliary, W.H. Over Museum, Clay County Historical Society, Trinity Lutheran Church, Good Sam Club Life member, Merry Homemaker"s Extension Club, and the Dinner Belles Red Hat Club.
During her high school years Eleanor was active in sports and other school activities. She remained an avid sports fan her entire life and loved pointing out all the errors the referees made. She especially loved following the Coyotes, the Vikings and the Twins. Eleanor will be remembered for her spunk, her "get it done" attitude, her smile and laugh, and her enormous generosity to those she knew and loved and to causes she believed in. Those mourning her passing are her husband Merle, her son, Bob (Fran) Offerdahl of Youngstown, Ohio; her daughter, Joyce (Dave) Zimmer of Vermillion, SD: her sister, Lorraine Koehler of Desert Hot Springs, CA; her brother, Leonard Uecker of Beresford, SD; 5 grandchildren: Scott (Maria) Zimmer, Nathan (Jami) Offerdahl, Lucas (Sarah) Offerdahl, Martha Offerdahl, and Ellen (Jon) Duby; 9 great grandchildren; numerous friends and other family members. Memorials may be directed to the Hospice Program at the Vermillion Sanford Hospital, the Vermillion Food Pantry, the Senior Citizen"s Center, or to any other worthy organization. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 pm, on Sunday, July 4, 2010 with a prayer service/video tribute at 7 p.m., at the Iverson-Siecke-Kober Funeral Home in Vermillion. Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 5, 2010 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Vermillion with Rev. Ralph Egbert officiating. Burial of ashes will be in Bluff View Cemetery in Vermillion at a later date.

Adell Beatrice Offerdahl was born July 2, 1925 in Union County, SD to parents Lars and Alma (Anderson) Hanson. She died October 5, 2006 in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 81 years, three months and three days.

Adell was confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Brule Creek Lutheran Church. She married Milton Offerdahl on June 30, 1943. They farmed in the Beresford community; Adell was a homemaker, a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her door was always open, whether at her apartment or at Bethesda, and she enjoyed all her many friends. She loved to watch the Minnesota Twins.

Preceding her in death was her husband, parents and two brothers, Darrell and Rodney.

Adell is survived by her two daughters, Marlys (Duane) Clay of Beresford and Carol (Chuck) Garvin of LeMars, IA; six grandchildren, Stacey (Randy) Namminga, Stephanie (Ryan) James, Lindsay Clay, Ryan Clay, Jill Garvin and Amy Garvin; five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Palmer (Ruth) Hanson of Cherokee, IA, Kenneth (Phyllis) Hanson of Maynard, AR and Robert (Shirley) Hanson of Alcester; and two sisters, Lois Jensen of Cambridge, MN and Evelyn Solberg of Alcester.

She enjoyed sewing and had made many items for herself, family, church and the community. She liked entertaining people and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her husband Clayton of Beresford; daughter Debra DuBrall and husband Robert of Eagan, MN; grandson Ryan DuBrall of Savage, MN; sister Phyllis Drury of Beresford, SD; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Merle, sister Lucille Wastell and a sister Velma, in infancy. Funeral services will be held 2:00PM, Monday, August 17 at the United Church of Christ in Beresford. Visitation will be Sunday from 3PM to 7PM with family present from 6PM to 7PM with a prayer service at 7PM at Wass Funeral Home in Beresford.

Ruth is survived by her partner, Gayle Wood of Spring Green; her mother, Carol Ringelstetter of Spring Green; seven siblings, Diane (Auggie) Kruchten of Merrimac, Bob (Julie) Ringelstetter of Gotham, Doug (Gwen) Ringelstetter of Prairie du Sac, Steve (Colleen) Ringelstetter of Spring Green, Pam (John) Bettinger of Plain, Randy (Jackie) Ringelstetter of Lone Rock and Joel Ringelstetter of Lone Rock; a godson, Luke Bettinger; along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond "Pug" Ringelstetter and a godson, Tyler Torman. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 15, 2007, at 11 a.m. at ST. JOHN'S CATHOLIC CHURCH in Spring Green. Father Mike Resop will officiate with burial in the St. John's Catholic Cemetery with a luncheon to follow at The Shed Restaurant. Norma married John Marcus Ringelstetter in 1953 and worked at O’Brien Brothers in Richland Center then went to work for the State of Wisconsin in Madison where she retired from. Norma had a big heart and loved flowers, gardening, pulling weeds, cooking, canning, cleaning, sewing, quilting, helping people, in past raising chickens and ducks and loved visits from her great granddaughter, Berkley. Norma enjoyed going for rides looking for deer, turkeys and other wildlife. Survivors include her son, Ronald John Ringelstetter of Lone Rock, a grandson, Danny John (Brittany) Herbeck of Vermilion Bay, Ontario, a great granddaughter, Berkley Herbeck of Vermilion Bay, Ontario, a son-in-law, Steve Herbeck of Mineral Point, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Margaret Vetter, her husband, John Ringelstetter, her daughter, Cheryl Herbeck, 5 siblings, Donald and Frank Vetter, Alice Harbort, Lorraine Cash and Betty Gundlach. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at 11:30 A.M. at the Richardson-Stafford Funeral Home in Spring Green. Pastor Craig Peach will officiate. Visitation will be held on Wednesday at the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. The family would like to thank Dr. Jeffrey Collins and the U.W. Hospital nursing staff that took such great care of Norma and gave her a beautiful quilt. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a charity of choice. Richardson-Stafford Funeral Home in Spring Green is assisting the family with arrangements.

Survivors include her husband, Steve Herbeck of Mineral Point; a son, Danny Herbeck of Mineral Point; her mother, Norma Ringelstetter of Lone Rock; a brother, Ron Ringelstetter of Lone Rock; her mother-in-law, Ruth Herbeck of Stoughton; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, John "Jack" Ringelstetter; and her father-in-law, Dan Herbeck.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, at 11:30 a.m. at ST. JOHN'S CATHOLIC CHURCH in Spring Green. Father Mike Resop will officiate. Visitation will be held on Friday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass. Burial will take place at the Brown Church Cemetery in Bear Valley at a later date.
Sheryl's life was a spark in the dark to all who knew her as she unselfishly gave her heart and soul to all before herself. Her loves were her family, friends, her beautiful flower garden, all animals, her pets and her new colt. She was known as an animal whisperer and will be missed by all.

She was born in Lone Rock, on May 7, 1918, the daughter of Charles and Anna (Smith) Storkson. She was married to Eddy Wills from 1937 until1945. She then married Steven Caravello in 1948 and was with him until the time of his death in 1992. She retired from a variety of jobs in1973. She then enjoyed her family get-togethers and traveling. She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Julia Wills; a daughter, Joanne (Bob) Batts of Arizona; grandchildren, Debra (Roger) Antonie of California, Barbara (Dan) Boom of Shorewood, John (Rumiko) Hughes of California, Mark (Julie) Wills of DeForest, Jay (Regina) Wills of Belleville and Matthew Wills of Madison; great-grandchildren, Heather, Steven Antonie, Laura (Josh) Hellfeld, Holly and Scott Bittinger, Michael and Kathryn Wills, and Danielle, Stephen, Josephine and Bailey Wills; sister-in-law, Mary Bucholz; sister, Carol Ringelstetter of Spring Green; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve; her son, Mark Wills; her granddaughter, Jayne; her parents; sisters, Delta Linden, Marjorie Keyes, Dorothy Viney and Rose Nelson; and brothers,Charles Jr., Alvin, Walter, Frank and Arthur 'Bud.' Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008, at ALL FAITHS FUNERALCHAPEL. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the funeral home. She will be cremated and her cremains will be buried at Sunset Memory Gardens, next to her husband.
