Duane spent most of his life as owner/operator of the Blackhawk Feed Mill, a portable feed mill. If he wasn’t working in the trucks, you could find him listening to Prime Mover every Saturday morning, hoping to find a deal, or at an auction with Kevin Alt. Duane loved playing cards and his favorite pastime was playing with his four great-grandkids. Duane was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Spring Green. Survivors include his wife, Iza Pretsch of Spring Green; two children, Wendy (Mike) Layton of Spring Green, Duane (Lisa) Pretsch of Arena; four grandchildren, Ashley (Rylee) Vossekuil, Hannah (Luke) White, Michaela (Logan) Pyfferoen, Duane (Molly Salzwedel) Pretsch; four great-grandchildren, Bentley & Paislee White, Henesee & Kyee Vossekuil; one brother, Gary Pretsch of Plain; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, Gerald Alt, Joann Drea, Kenneth Pretsch, LeRoy Pretsch, Darlene Connors; his in-laws, Kenneth & Harriet Walter. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at St. John’s Catholic Church in Spring Green with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday at the church from 11:00 A.M. until the time of Mass. The Richardson-Stafford Funeral Home in Spring Green is assisting the family with the arrangements.
