Mrs. Nancy Emily Piper, 92, of Oakdale, Illinois, passed away August 13, 1966, following an illness of four years.

She was born near Sparta on January 13, 1874, but resided in the Oakdale community since her marriage to James Renwick Piper on August 12, 1903. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1957 and a daughter, Hazel, in 1937.

Mrs. Piper was an active member of the Reformed Presbyterian Church, the W.M.S., the Sabbath School, and the W.C.T.U. as long as health permitted.

She is survived by six children: John of Baden, Pennsylvania; Wilmer of Topeka, Kansas; Irene in the home; Mrs. C.A. Stevenson (Evelyn) of Centralia, Illinois; and Mrs. Archie Woodrome (Helen) of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; also fourteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
