He was in the Special Olympics for many years and enjoyed them all but bowling on Wednesdays at Brewster’s Lanes was his favorite. Thanks to them for always showing him love and respect there. Louie loved life and lived it to its fullest. We thank everyone who helped in life to make that happen. He was proud to work at VARC, Inc. for many years and also kept his own apartment for 12 years at Willow Heights, meeting special friends there who will never be forgotten for their support and kindness. Thanks to the staff at the Hospice House and Maplewood for the love and care they gave him and most important, Thanks be to God for His precious, precious gift. See you in heaven Louie, we love you.
    Services for Louie J. Muchow will be conducted on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at the Farber Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 11 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will take place in St. Peter’s Cemetery in Loganville at a later date.
    The Farber Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services were held Dec. 8, at the Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg, Wis. Interment followed in the Lloyd Cemetery at Lloyd, Wis., with arrangements under the direction of the Hoof Funeral Home. Local arrangements were under the direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem.

    He was born Feb. 14, 1930, in the Town of Freedom, Sauk County, the son of Edward G. and Theresa (Repka) Meyer. Ed was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving with the United States Army. On Aug. 15, 1959, he was married to the former Gloria J. Yanke. Ed was a lifelong farmer in the Town of Freedom and a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Leland. He will be remembered by many for selling his apples on Main Street in Reedsburg. Ed had a generous heart and a warm smile. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

    Survivors include his wife, Gloria; two sons, Greg (Kellie) Meyer of Castle Rock, Colorado, and Tom (Shelly) Meyer of North Freedom; two grandchildren, Gregory Meyer and his partner Jeff, and Sarah (Rusty) Booth; two great-grandchildren, Braylie and Taelyn; one brother, Robert (Bev) Meyer of North Freedom; one sister, Donna Krayer of North Freedom; many loving nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

    He was preceded in death by his parents; and four sisters, Gloria Ripley, Margie Wiggen, Lonna Kaney and infant Delores Meyer.

    A private family burial service will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Leland, with Pastor Erich Hartenberger officiating. Military honors will follow the service. Memorials to St. John’s Lutheran Church in Leland would be appreciated.

This marriage was blessed with three children. Bob was a farmer. He enjoyed farming, fishing, hunting, playing cards, watching football (Go Packers) and spending time with his family. Bob was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Leland. He will be remembered most for his sense of humor, being a loving man with a kind heart, and for all the joy and laughter that he brought to so many. His memories will always be cherished and will live on in our hearts forever. Survivors include his wife: Beverly; his children: Randy Meyer, of Reedsburg; Jeff (Anita) Meyer, of Baraboo and Robyn Meyer, of North Freedom; his grandson: Danny Meyer; step grandchildren: Erin Campbell and Ian Campbell; step great-grandson: Calvin Weishaar; his sister: Donna Krayer, of North Freedom; many loving nieces and nephews; in-laws; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters: Gloria Ripley, Margie Wiggin, Lonna Kaney and infant, Delores Meyer, and one brother: Edward Meyer. A Celebration of Life will take place at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Leland with Pastor Erich Hartenberger officiating. Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery where military honors will be provided by the Reedsburg Veterans Honor Guard. There will be a visitation from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Friday at the Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg and after 10:00 A.M. on Saturday at the church. The Hoof Funeral Home is serving the family.
