She married Reinhold Gehrke on Jan. 9, 1932; he preceded her in death on July 22, 2004, after 72 years of marriage. In her earlier life, she worked at McArthur’s Hammock Factory and Flambeau Plastics and enjoyed working with her husband on the farm, until their move to Baraboo. She enjoyed gardening, playing cards, crocheting, bingo and especially polka dancing and traveling. Judy is survived by her three children, Donna (friend, Ted) Gehrke of Madison, Audrey (Virgil) Belter of Janesville, and Robert (Katherine) Gehrke of San Antonio, Texas; seven grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren and five step-grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, two cousins; and many friends. Judith M. Hager died on 21 February 2016 at age 103 Judith “Judy” Gehrke, 103, of Baraboo, entered her eternal home Sunday, Feb. 21, 2016, and resided at Our House Assisted Living.

Judy was born Feb. 19, 1913, in the town of Honey Creek to Herbert and Emma (Schroeder) Hager. She married Reinhold Gehrke on Jan. 9, 1932; he preceded her in death on July 22, 2004, after 72 years of marriage. In her earlier life, she worked at McArthur’s Hammock Factory and Flambeau Plastics and enjoyed working with her husband on the farm, until their move to Baraboo. She enjoyed gardening, playing cards, crocheting, bingo and especially polka dancing and traveling.

Judy is survived by her three children, Donna (friend, Ted) Gehrke of Madison, Audrey (Virgil) Belter of Janesville, and Robert (Katherine) Gehrke of San Antonio, Texas; seven grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren and five step-grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, two cousins; and many friends.
