She is survived by 4 children, Lloyd (Pat), Harley (Linda), Lyle, Nancy , all of Sauk City; 1 daughter-in-law, Joanne Curless; 22 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren, 1 sister, Mary Breunig; 1 sister in law, Katie Breunig. Further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by 2 sons, Orlie and Bob , a grandson Joe , 2 sisters and 3 brothers. The family wishes to extend appreciation to Home Health United Hospice and Dr. Tom Varley for their care and concern. A special thank you to Father John Blewett, Father Alex, Father Faustino and Father Jared for their weekly visits over the last several years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m on Thursday, March 21, 2013, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Sauk City, WI with Father John Blewett officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2013, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Hooverson Funeral Home, Sauk City, WI where the Council of Catholic Women will pray the Rosary at 3:30 p.m. A visitation will also be from10:30 a.m until 11:15 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Aloysius Church or Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital Foundation.

He was born on Nov. 1, 1924, in Roxbury, to John and Elizabeth (Miller) Breunig. He was married to the former Rosabelle "Rosie" Benisch on Oct. 2, 1951, in Sun Prairie. Together they farmed in the Westport and Waunakee areas, and were recognized for their outstanding dairy operations. Following retirement in 1989, he enjoyed several pastimes, which included fishing, woodworking and traveling. They enjoyed six of their retirement years in Sun City, Ariz., where they met some very special friends. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, and a charter member of the Waunakee Knights of Columbus. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Rosie; a daughter, Marilyn Zilic (Bob Foss) of Madison; two sons, Dean (Kathleen) of Port Edwards, and Michael of Marshall; seven grandchildren, Pam and Kyle Zilic, Jon, Adam and Kristina Breunig, and Shannon and Nichole Breunig; two brothers, Wilfred (Mary) Breunig of Sauk City, and Milo (Lanita) Breunig of Sun Prairie; two sisters, Viola Schroeder of Columbus, and Cyrilla Nawrocki of Sauk City, a sister-in-law, Dale Breunig of Sauk City; a brother-in-law, James Masak of Dunwoody, Ga; and many nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Linus; two brothers, Leo and Eugene; two sisters, Augusta Zins and Carina Masak; brothers-in-law, Larry Zins, Edmund Schroeder, Clarence Henn and Ed Nawrocki; and sisters-in-law, Charlotte and Bernadette Breunig. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2004, at ST. JOHN'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, in Waunakee. Monsignor James Gunn will officiate. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2004, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the WINN FUNERAL HOME, in Waunakee, where a rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Friends may also call at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of services. He is survived by his three children, Alan (Sharon) Breunig of Spring Grove, Charnel Breunig of Cottage Grove, Robert (Kari) Breunig of Madison; eight grandchildren, Ryan, Nicole, Brandon, Nathan, Ross, Brittany, Danielle and Meghann; two step-grandchildren, Joe and Lou; a great-grandson, Ben; a brother, Wilfred (Mary) Breunig of Sauk City; and two sisters, Viola Schroeder of Columbus and Cyrilla Henn of Sauk City. He was preceded in death by death by his wife, Charlotte; his parents; three brothers, Leo, Melvin and Eugene; and two sisters, Augusta Zinns and Carina Masak. The visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. with a Scripture service at 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, at Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus St. in Sun Prairie, Wis.
