Violet was born on July 26, 1914 in the township of Honey Creek, near Leland, in Sauk County, and was the daughter of Albert and Elsa (Mueller) Giese. On June 9, 1932, she was united in marriage to Ludwig Kimpfbeck at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Leland. He preceded her in death in March of 1944. She then was united in marriage to Roger Walluks on Sept. 26, 1955 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Baraboo. Violet was the oldest of eleven children and she worked on the family Giese Homestead in Leland.

Survivors include three sons, Russell Kimpfbeck of Lime Ridge, Kenneth (Mary) Kimpfbeck of Reedsburg, and Donald Kimpfbeck of Baraboo; a step-son, William Walluks of Madison; nine grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and one great-great- grandchild; three brothers, Willard Giese of Baraboo, Dean Giese of Arizona, and Rodney Giese of Baraboo; four sisters, Myrtle Wyttenbach of Sauk City, Olive Kidd of California, Savera Marquardt of Baraboo, Dorren Barrow of Lodi; daughter-in-law, Kenlyn Kimpfbeck of Wisconsin Dells; and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, James Kimpfbeck; a great-great grandchild, Elijah Kimpfbeck; three brothers, Milton, Ivan and Orville Giese; and a daughter-in-law, Pat Kimpfbeck.
