She was born on December 30, 1923 in Reedsburg, the daughter of Walter and Elsa (Schulz) Rusch. On October 27, 1945, she was married to Durlin A. Behn. Together they farmed the home farm near Rock Springs until their retirement in 1986 when they moved to Reedsburg. Marcella was a faithful member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Rock Springs and a member of the Ladies Aid. She was also a member of the Rock Elm Homemakers for many years. Marcella enjoyed reading, traveling and playing cards. Survivors include her six children: Shirley (Dan) Oetzman, of Hillsboro; Donna Behn, of Verona; Betty (Gene) Berg, of Waunakee; Carolyn Behn, of Waunakee; Dennis (Dawn) Behn, of Reedsburg and Donald (Patti) Behn, of Reedsburg; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; her sister: Sylvia Weiss, of Reedsburg; a sister-in-law: Helen Hamilton, of Menomonee; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Durlin, on November 21, 2002; her daughter and son-in-law: Sharon and Roy Palmer; and one grandson: Stephen Oetzman. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, September 13, 2013 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Rock Springs with Pastor David Karow officiating. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in North Freedom. There will be a visitation from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. John's Lutheran Church would be appreciated. The Hoof Funeral Home is serving the family.

Roy was born in Reedsburg on May 10, 1942, the son of Raymond and Helen (Grotophorst) Palmer. Roy was a member of the Army National Guard, serving in Washington State during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He belonged to the Getchel-Nelson American Legion Post 210 of Waupun. He was married to Sharon Behn on Nov 21, 1968, in Rock Springs, WI.

Roy was employed by the State of Wisconsin at the Waupun Correctional Institute for 20 years and was a member of Local 18. He was also a member of the Pella Lutheran Church where he participated in the choir. He shared his singing talent as a member of the Ripon Harmony King's. Roy gave of his time to the community monthly as a delivery man for the Share Program. His other interest included gardenting and traveling.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon in 1993; his father; and his father-in-law, Durlin Behn.

Roy is survived by his son, Robert of Waupun; his mother, Helen Palmer; his sister, Leta Palmer; his mother-in-law, Marcella Behn, all of Reedsburg; numerous other relatives and friends.

Inurnment will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery in North Freedom.

He was born Jan. 14, 1927, in Franklin Township, Sauk County, the son of William and Ella (Gade) Kaun. Richard proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1952 to 1954, serving during the Korean War.

On Aug. 21, 1952, Richard was united in marriage to Louise C. Meyer at St. John Lutheran Church, Loganville. Richard farmed rural Loganville for many years. He was a member of St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church, Loganville, where he enjoyed singing in the choir. Richard had a gift of writing poetry, something his family has cherished for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Steven; six brothers; and three brothers-in-infancy.

He is survived by his wife, Louise, of Loganville; daughter, Jody (Brian) Calhoun of Montello; son, Scott Kaun of Reedsburg; grandchildren, Spenser Kaun and friend, Jessica Dilley, her daughter, Kyleigh Meyer, and son, Dane Maconaghy, Shannan Kaun and Hunter Kaun; sisters, Dorothy Derringer of Janesville, Leona Jones of Janesville, Arlene Peterson of Washington; sister-in-law, Jenny Kaun of Reedsburg; many nieces and nephews; along with other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Richard M. Kaun will be conducted at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015, at St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Loganville, with Pastor Donald Glanzer officiating. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until the time of the service Wednesday at the church. Memorials may be made to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in lieu of flowers.

Survivors include her three children: Stephanie (Jerry) Frederickson, Robert (Patricia) Ulvestad and Nancy (Russell) Froehlich; six grandchildren: Sam and Jesse Fredrickson; Michelle and Justin Ulvestad; Carrie and Alan Froehlich; twelve great grandchildren; her sister-in-law: Lois Prouty; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her brother: Gerald Prouty; sister-in-law: Vivian Tiede and brother-in-law: John Tiede. Funeral services will be conducted at 5:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at the United Methodist Church in Sandusky with Pastor Deb Burkhalter and Pastor Bob Maeglin officiating. Prouty, Mark M. Prouty and Stephen A. (Julie) Prouty, all of Hillpoint; Matthew C. (Roberta) Prouty, of North Carolina; eight grandchildren: Cherish, Peter, Joshua, Adam, Steven, Daniel, Michael and Clayton; nine great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at the Sandusky United Methodist Church, rural Hillpoint. Interment will be in the Sandusky Cemetery. He was born on November 17, 1930 in Loganville, the son of August and Ella (Williams) Steinhorst. Jake was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving with the U.S. Army. On May 28, 1955 he was married to the former Sue A. Parkhurst. He had owned and operated Reedsburg Salvage since 1966. Jake will be remembered by his family as a loving and devoted husband, father and Papa. He served as a city alderman from 1969 to 1972. Jake was active on the Zoning Board of Appeals and the Board of Review for many years. He was also a supervisor for the Town of Reedsburg. In his younger days, he was a member of the Loganville Fire Department. Jake was also a past president of the Reedsburg Little League. He was proud to have been appointed a special deputy for the Sauk County Sheriff's Department. Jake was also a member of the Reedsburg V.F.W. Post 1916 and a member of St. John Lutheran Church where he served on the cemetery board. He truly enjoyed baseball, singing, dancing and going out to dinner with his wife, Sue. Survivors include his four children: Brente (Pam) Steinhorst, of Reedsburg; Traye (Dayna) Steinhorst, of Rock Springs; Korrie (Paula) Steinhorst, of Baraboo and Suzie (Tracy) Horkan, of Reedsburg; eight grandchildren: Hannah and Max Steinhorst; Jacob Steinhorst, Jessica (Jacob) Alt, Allison Steinhorst; JoEtte, Kyran and Tarek Horkan; two step-grandchildren: Alicia (Joe) Rau and Elizabeth (Jeremy) Coleman; four step-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law: Marie Steinhorst, of Reedsburg and Jane (Robert) Bortz, of Beaver Dam; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
